Well well. It appears the Turkish nukes work.

Have to find out if my two do as well.

Test is complete, mission accomplished. Task force recalled.

Do you need spice? For you, my dear king, a very special price.

Turkey T 33 in.

Ah, no thanks. No need for Turkish spice. We like our food bland but hearty.

Although sometimes with just a little something salty. Sometimes gunpowder is just the trick.

Happy to offer you the chance to try it.

Be careful, too much spice and they'll give you wind.

So true. The Sultan has lots of spice. Should a visit to your dark damp land be required of the Sultan, there will be plenty of spice brought along. Sometime a little wind can be just the thing a monarch needs.

Let peace reign-spice for all!

Turn 34 sent.

I'll be taking a little trip to the mountains in Utah this weekend. I'll be back online Sunday evening (GMT-8). There is a internet cafe up there now (in Duck Creek), but I sense that I should not think of taking a laptop with me. The wife unit would not like that too much.

So, enjoy the weekend, maybe have a nice Bavarian brew (that would be imported for any of us)
Actually, I think I'll do that-Spaten Pills is my favorite.

Brits in.

Looks like I got hit with the mysterious 4 empire point loss in this game like I did in no frills as Austria.

See this thread:

http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=2185150&mpage=1&key=?

It has happened again. It is even the exact same amount of mysterious loss (4 points) with no reduction in my territory. I have a theory on it, I am gonna run it by Eric and see what he thinks.

Very frustrating though.

How much is enough?

Can we as leaders of the major European nations sit idly by and watch one nation swallow up minor nations one by one?
I say no!
France will no longer accept Austrian agression in any direction, and we are ready to march if Austria does not immediately step down from her crusade against the smaller nations.
Let us form a crusade of our own if Austria does not change her foreign policy!

Game on-turn 35 in.

What is all this about Bavaria. Bavaria this, Bavaria that.

Remember; if you can't find happiness in your own back yard, you never lost it in the first place.

Kinda fun how as Austria in another pbem I was seen as the great evil of Europe, yet as France I end up as portector of Europe
And what is it with taking over Austria...we all end up as agressors

True, but ours pales to insignificance next to theirs, and only if the Austrians let us. We were overcoming our desire for the stuff with wonderful Bavarian beer, but the two go so well together (beer and schnitzel) that the Austrians want to corner the market.

Well, the Austrian fat cats are sitting in the Hoffbrau house right now-no doubt guzzling some fine Spaten.

At least you can comfort yourself with your capture of Frankfurt. The have some decent brew too-and I hear, an impressive red light district.

You do realize that this sort of behavior is not conducive to long term peace?

It's your personality Terje.

But seriously, remember what I said about being the big orange thing in the middle of the map? That really draws out the predator/prey instinct in humans I think.

Oh yes indeed. In fact we had originally hoped to incorporate those wonderful Hessian soldiers into the Prussian army, not fight against them. But, since the diplomats rule, and someone might decide to test another diplo-nuke on Hesse, AND that dissolves the troops. There was little point sitting on our hands.

Just because you use good logic does not mean you are good. The Hessians were my best of friends.
