Except for their proclivity to cross dress, I love British humor . . . er, humour.

Naw. You spelled it right the first time.

No.

So flour = snow. Check.

Rechester gets little snow and produces no more flour, only flowers hence its new title of "the Flower city"

The same way NJ is the Garden State?

Leo "Apollo11"

Leo,

The previous references were from a Monty Python skit about using humor as a weapon. It involved British WWII infantry going 'over the top' whilest reading from this humor weapon as they marched forward.

A number of developers of this humor weapon died during it's creation-laughing themselves to death. Thus, for safety sake, no single developer was allowed more than a few words at a time.

The Germans, of course, tried to counter with their own joke creation which was faithfully (mis)translated for the audience. I believe Hitler himself attempted the 'how does your dog smell?' joke to his Hitler jugen faithful. Of course, being Germans, their efforts at military-grade humor were subpar.

Hope this helps.

Sweet Thread. Good thing I read forward before replying to that.

I know this might come as a shock to you (if in fact you don't view it as outright sacrilage) but there are some things in life that don't involve a computer!
