We'll make a red-neck out of you yet T! (Next we introduce you to chicken-fried steak, and maybe cheese-grits!).

Stay away from the cheese-grits T. It would be like eating glue with cheese

Where have you been eating Bruce? I suggest waffle-house! T , if you would eat polenta with cheese, then essentially you've already had cheese grits. Italians call it polenta, Southern Americans call them grits. Northerners seem to think that grits are some kind of creme of wheat/oatmeal and put sugar or maple syrup on them!. Consider them corn based pasta.

It's my understanding that grits are just Polenta

Yellow corn grits is essentially polenta. White corn grits is somtimes called hominy grits. It seems many of the terms are used interchangably even though each eludes to specific dishes.

Grits at Waffle House are terrible, IMHO, while yellow grits with cheese and tomatos are quite delicious.

You do that. I'll counter with the fearsome nibbler of toes. His fighting method is "Awww"-ing you into a deathlike torpor.

(Side note: That's a really beautiful dog you've got there )

Kelsey has learned how successfully camoflauge itself as part of your carpet. Very skillful.

No. Ask any Southerner, they'll tell you that Polenta is just grits.

I see you have what Dave Barry referred to as a "Main dog" and an "Emergency back up dog". Wise selection, Mike.
