Nope. Thread Brothers is Thread Brothers. I know just what Termie is saying, and if it wouldn't get me banned, I'd say just what kinds of (your favorite expletive here) the boy has to deal with.

There's a bunch of us that are able, and extremely willing, to go pitbull on the main threads but, like good soldiers, obey the leash. Shelter from the storm.

Get some I&I Kristian. When you're ready, there's always a place.

Just creating a file with all bases that need garrisons and all available ground units in China, Manchukuo and Korea. Finally, I'll have the garrisons in perfect size to not unnecessary waste any point of AV.
Quite some work, though...

I think I am going to stop going into some threads.  Some people are starting to seriously piss me off.  That takes some doing too.  If so many people hate this game, why do they play it and complain about it so much.  Also, why don't they just make their own mod.  You can change almost everything with the editor.

I always wondered about some things here...
People complaining about the price - but don't we have the freedom of choice whether to buy or not to buy AE?
People complaining about the game to be too difficult. Well, didn't they all know that its several times more complicated than witp?

Must've missed those threads I guess some people aren't happy unless they have something to complain about...

Sadly, there are always people for whom the glass is half empty.  For me, it's not half full, it's usually full!    I love my life, I love my family, I love this game in both versions, and I love you guys!

Mike, Kristian, don't let the few loud complainers get you down.  The thousands of very happy AE owners are the quiet one's who have their noses buried in their computers playing.  (Or studying spreadsheets.  )

Because they have serious ego issues with the fact the game was developed without their participation. They were so used to dominating the forum kids, that any other group, with a better claim to knowledge, is simply unacceptable. They must, therefore, dismiss and minimalize anything done by the developers, so they can regain their dominance. They are neither smart nor knowledgable enough to do it with in-game algorythmic fact, so they do it with irrelevant, hyperbolic, historical bullshit, and aggressive, meaningless, sarcasm.

Very small people; very small minds; very annoying though.

Very safe and cozy place, THE THREAD!!!

It's why most of us spend most of our time here.

OK....well, it's a nicer place than the Scenario Design sub forum can be.

Be among friends as you enjoy this wonderful, stimulating wargame, and have another brew.

As a one-time boss of mine, a then recent Lebanaese immigrant who spoke broken English once said to me , "don't worry about such a person. He's what do you say, An Ass-hole? ". Antonio's English may have not been the best , but his wisdom was. Every now and then we have to stop and take the measure of people we are conversing with. Am I able to help him, or he me? Is this conversation enjoyable , fruitfull, usefull or of any conseivable value? If not , then walk away. And if I can ever learn to practice what I preach , I'll once again be able to get off these damned $$%^^&&%#$% hight blood pressure pills!

I'm not sure how they did it, but it seems that the AE team changed something with the beta patch.  I tried the tested method of sending cruisers against invasion forces, but this time the sneake Japs did a runner instead of staying to face a glorious death in the name of the Emperor   Still, Lex's airgroups partially made up for it.  Plus my subs have been somewhat less effective, almost to the extent of WitP   Much more interesting now, even if Louisville ran away from a transport and a PB

Put me down as a fan of the triple post. Maybe I'm annoyance proof but I haven't seen any evidence of hatred for AE (except for the recently escorted off the premises YH).

All I've noticed is that the Allied fanbois sure seem a lot louder than the Japanese ones.

Spoken as a true JFB! Although the AFB are louder, JFB can be more shrill! So that washes them out to be pretty even. As a J+AFB I consider them all whiners!

Well, my suspicion is that the underlying cause is that most JFBs still don't really know where they stand yet in AE.

My suspcion is that NO ONE knows where they stand yet! Even the play testers and the developers seem to have had a few surprises. Frankly , at the risk of antropromorphizing the game, I'm begining to think , in the words of Dr. Frankenstein (the movie one ) "It's Alive"!!!
