Which means that your sanity and manhood are probably intact.

Then again, I'm happily married so they probably aren't

It is because of false alarm (i.e. "Crying Wolf")...

Ah right. Well I thought the oh noes! would have flagged up that I wasn't serious along with the eye rolling smiley It's more a comment on the people who think that I'm going to put account details for anything into a random bank account.

Abbey National, NatWest, The FBI, UK National Lottery and numerous others have all contacted me for urgent attention

I never played any of the MMRPGs...

I only play flight sims and tactical / strategic wargames (I did, however, play 3D shooters long ago for fun - the last one was Crysis - it was absolutely gorgeous experience with superb graphics)...

Hi all,

Oh my...

quote:

Shut it, Beaky!

Incredible picture of the male sparrow who finally had enough of his wife's nagging

by Mirror UK

This male sparrow decided he'd heard enough squawking from a nearby female and closed her beak with his tiny talons.

Postman Urs Schmidli, 55, who also captured sparrows' ritual threat displays in his garden in Sherz, Switzerland, said: "It really looked like the male could not put up with any more female cheeping."

Eric...good to hear the news and just to hear from you!

T...GUBOOM is a wonderfully appropriate login for this forum.

Leo...if we only had the courage of the mighty male sparrow.

Scott...after reading your post, I can't get the song "Momma, Don't Let Your Babies Grow up to be Cowboys" out of my head. They probably do not play that song much in Bandera, Texas.

(I have combined 4 posts into one as I desperately attempt to keep my post count below 200.)

I think my PayPal account may have been compromised in much the same fashion.

I get occasional helpful email reminders asking me for updated bank account information to link to it. I also don't recall ever *having* a PayPal account, but the friendly emailer with the odd URL couldn't be mistaken, could they?

I got one too recently. my very first classic scam email, asking me to log onto my "account" with user name and password by clicking the following link. Cool. It sounds so gullibly stupid that part of me doubted such naked scams were not urban legends.

Add that the the recent nice communication from the Nigerian millionaire requesting my assistance in investing his funds in US accounts.

After many, many years of Nigerian scam letters, it seems the originators of such scams are wising up, albeit only just a bit. I now receive more non-Nigerian scam letters than I do Nigerian scam letters. Ivory Coast, Ghana, Cameroon and Seychelles are now proportionally well represented.

For those of you looking for a laugh, you may want to check out one of my favorite scam baiter sites. This guy (a Brit by the handle of "Shiver Me Timbers") is a master craftsman and has my undying respect:

I've noticed there are a lot of evil uncles out there in Africa who are denying their recently orphaned relatives their rightful inheritence but still allowing the orphan access to the internet and emails As well as research facilities to let them look me up.
The head of the FBI has been contacting me personally be email as well. The thing is, I'm sure I'd know if someone had suspended one of my bank accounts with $5,000,000 in it

I'm disappointed that someplace in Oklahoma claims superiority in cowchip throwing. Thought that would be a Texas birthright. Oklahoma should never be the superior of Texas in anything other than 3.2% alcohol beer sales and trailerparks.

Reminds me of college days reading a book by Catlett (sp?) on Mandan culture in the 1830's, maybe '40s. He painted a portrait of a warrior named "No horns on his head". Had to have been a good story behind that name.
