The US Postal Service ONLY delivers Express Mail on Sunday. I don't believe NWS has this option for shipping. And if they did you probably couldn't afford the extra charge, otherwise you would have ordered from Matrix and already have the game in your hands.

Monday is only one more day and your package will arrive and will bring you happiness.

Nope, with NWS, all you have to do is call and I can get anykind of shipping I want if I pay.My parents or me myself don't mind paying extra for shipping if it gets here faster, however we do mind paying an extra $15 for the game itself when we dont have to(Matrix=$90, NWS=$75).Infact, if we would have know it to take this long we would have paid extra to get this thing shipped faster. But oh well, I can wait. I'm not going to give you the satisfaction. Don't hate.

This is no revelation.

You do realize this weboards bandwidth, patches, and the customer service provided by Matrix isn't free? Matrix provides outstanding customer support, while I'm sure they enjoy their work those people need to get paid.

Some may see it different but I see it as a lack of class or extremely poor judgement by you posting on Matrix's weboard you can get it cheaper elsewhere. People are smart enough to realize other vendors may have it cheaper if enough members log in and infer "see how shrewd I am, I got it cheaper elsewhere" this great site would fold up like a tent in a hurricane.

Well, when I posted I was pretty mad at that guy, he tried to tell me what I can and can't afford, just because he has problem with me.I'm not going to let "Flipperwash"(or what ever his name is) call me poor and get away with it.

The way I read it, he was simply saying that if you were already at a budget of said dollars then you can't have it all so you had to make a choice. You are far too quick to take offense, he was not attempting to snub you in any way.

First, I never called or implied you or your family were poor. You were the one who said you could not afford to buy WITP-AE from Matrix directly. Yet, you contine to whine about not having the game yet.

Second, you're mad at me because I said you couldn't afford Express Mail? Since it would have cost less to have just ordered from Matrix rather than a 3rd party (plus express shipping) you confuse me here.

Then you say your parents would have paid for Express shipping. At this point your argument for being financially frugal (this does not mean poor) went out the window if in fact you would have paid more for express shipping. As it means its okay to spend more money for the game from NWS than get it from Matrix. I am at a loss.

Having money (rich) or not having money (poor) is not a factor in assessing a man or a woman. It is what is inside the person not what's in their wallet that is important.

Thankfully tomorrow is Monday and you will have the game and no more reason to complain.

Be well,

Here's my point:

NWS has AE for $75.Overnight shipping from UPS is around $30 I believe.Matrix is $90 plus $10.85 just for the standard shipping. So basicly, if I would pay the same amount of money from NWS, I would have overnight shipping, while for the same amount of money at Matrix, it would still take like 3-4 days to get here.So I would be getting quicker shipment for the same amount of money from NWS.I wouldn't mind ordering directly from Matrix, but as I said in an earlier post, because my parents found NWS and the cheaper prices, I can't convince them to order from Matrix. You of all people should understand that since alot of the guys on here are parents and you guys know how that you have to save money whenever possible.

I have nothing against Flipperwasirish, but I still get the vive he has a problem with me.But as he said, tomorrow hopefully it comes and he doesn't have to worry about me anymore. The problem is that since we're communicating in Text, I dont know if Flipperwash is serious, or if he is being sarcastic.

Except that if you'f have ordered it from Matrix you could have downloaded it the day you ordered it and then we'd have been able to skip the whole gripe session that you don't have the game yet.

V22,

I have no problem with you.

What was tiring was your repeated complaining about not having the game. When by your own admission you ordered from NWS. The added delay compared to Matrix customers is a result of this choice you and your parents made (for whatever reason).

Continuing to whine about it (and that is how many of your posts come across) is not accepting responsibility for the choice you made.

Trying to take into account the time difference you are probably somewhere around 15 hours or so away from delivery.

Once again, I wish you good luck, as this puppy is a monster.

Be well,

I just got mine! Here is a lesson for me; DON'T SHIP USPS! Tracking numbers don't work and it is too damn slow. I wish I had paid extra for UPS. I forget how much it "saved" me, but I think it was $2 or $3!

Boy, was that a mistake!

Very nice and beautiful manual !

Got it when I came back just to see that it was indeed arrived... the day I leaved (26 of august)...
Sometimes life is like a "magazine explosion" hit : ordered early on the 27 of july with one month to receive it, then eventually received just one hour *after* the deadline !
But the forum is so active that the questions were directly answered by the dev team ! Far better than fighting alone with obscure specific points in a huge rulebook.

I like the compact format, this is a pleasant "material incarnation" of the game, to think about the game far from computers.
At home the pdf on a 24'' screen can still be used, with the game on a 54'' screen of course!

In the same spirit, I will order a large size reprint of the map also - I think that from the bmp files it is possible to obtain a good result, anyone tryed to print a large format map ?
A huge map covered with plastic like a white board can help staff planification by drawing routes directly on it on a table or a wall... the pure wargamer style, say.

Cheers,
TZ

For this map you need a beamer, not a printer.

I order the Physical Version of the game 10 days ago and I still have not received it. The Tracking number status in USPS website shows that the shipment is in Indiana since September 8. Is it stuck there ?

I had sent a mail to Customer Service and received a standard reply (to check the tracking number status).

Any update on my the status would be really helpful.

To be honest this is not Matrix's problem -- this is USPS's problem. Matrix probably has less access to information about it than you. Call the USPS or contact them through their website and ask about it with the tracking number. They should be able to help you out.

If you ship through the postal service, it can take from 1-20 days to arrive in our experience. Most folks get it within a week, but we've had it take up to 20 (business) days to get to some customers. Just winding its way through the postal system. USPS is not actually trackable in any real sense, the limited tracking info they provide is generally useless in my experience, it serves mainly to confirm for you that we did actually ship it out and get it into the hands of the USPS. You have to use UPS or FedEx to get real tracking from warehouse to destination.

Regards,

- Erik

I ordered (and have received) my physical version because I do not have the ability to download. However, that situation still applies so how can I get the patch? I would be willing to pay for a "physical shipment."

Erik - Help (?) - I've been waiting for the physical shipment of my product for a while now. It shows on findmyorder.com that it was shipped back on 11 August 2009. I work on a military base in Japan and never had a problem getting my orders before. Been making multiple phone calls to the customer service division in the Philippines (Manila according to the agents that I've spoken with - at least the past 4 times) who have been trying to help me. The latest agent I had yesterday told me to expect an email from customer service which I apparently got this morning which indicated that my physical shipment of my order got cancelled.

Called the customer service department this morning with the ticket number that I was given from yesterday. Apparently, the number he gave me was either wrong or bogus as the agent I just spoke to said that the number that I was using was coming up with a different person's name.

She went back to check what could be done. She then tells me that orders cannot be shipped to AA, AE or AP addresses. I told her that the matrix games website's order page provides a drop down box for military addresses and that I've had received products from matrix games here in the military bases in both Japan and Korea in the past.

She gave me a number to call to try to get assistance which is the same number that is posted on matrix games website - 952-646-5257, which is the same number that I used to contact her in the first place. At that point, she seemed lost... In the end, I have no help to speak of from her. Making these calls from Japan is getting expensive only to end up where I started from 3 weeks ago when I first started to inquire about my status.

The original order's tracking still shows it being processed and sent on 11 August and routed through the US Postal Service's Richmond Office and left there on 19 August. It appears lost and I would like to get another product shipped. To protect both Matrix games and my strongest desire to get the hardcopy product, I would like to pay to have the unit sent Express Mail to my address here. Express mail takes only about 4-5 days to get here from pretty much anywhere in the US. Problem that I've been experiencing is that the customer service people that I spoke with don't understand / have the capability to ship it via US Postal Service. They tell me that UPS 2nd day is the only option - which isn't an option when sending to a military base. The last 3 agents that I spoke with didn't realize that the shipping option provided "Economy Postal Mail" - was even using the postal service.

Erik - is there anyone that I can contact to get the product shipped via Express Mail via the US postal service where I can make arrangments to pay for it. I just want the hardcopy product for the book that everyone speaks so highly of. Just let me know what I can do to make this happen. Thanks!

EDITED TO ADD: I also just sent this through the offiical channels just in case after seeing Erik's signature block.

Thanks Erik for your reply, the tracking status still shows the same it has not moved our of Indiana for since September 8. I tried emailing and calling USPS, and I have not received back any reply. The USPS Customer service line does not let me past the Automated response as it says that the tracking number is not valid ( though the website still recognizes it) and suggests that Customer Service will not have any more information than what the Automated service had provided, and does not let me further.

I understand that this is USPS issue and nothing to do with Matrix, however if you can suggest me if there is anything I should do please let me know. I will try to go to my neighborhood postoffice tommorow to see if they have any feed back...

I am now close to approaching the 20 day mark now..Hope I do not set a new record..

Folks, the postal service is _not_ a trackable shipping method. Their "tracking" is not real tracking. It will not change to show the package proceeding across the US. I don't know what exactly it shows, but it is frankly useless, other than confirming that we have indeed given them the package to deliver to you. For trackable shipping, you have to pay a few extra bucks by shipping with a method like UPS.

CPOCMAN, we definitely do ship to military addresses, as long as you use the postal service option. The phone number you called goes to Digital River, not to us. Please e-mail me with your order info and I will proceed with investigating this further.

dsuday, if it goes over 20 business days, we consider it lost and will ship a replacement.

For those who have the option, use one of the trackable shipping methods. It's appalling how many shipments we see lost by the postal service, compared to virtually none lost by UPS or Fedex.

Finally I received my WitP AE today after exactly 20 days (Ordered on 4th got it on the 24th), I am surprised that it takes this long to get from East Coast to California. USPS has really set a pretty low standard of service. Finaly the anticipation is over.
