I'm running Tracker 1.9.1. You can do this for TFs in that version at least.

There is an alert when a TF was previously spotted and its detection increases, but not one (as far as I've noticed) for when a TF goes from DL 0 to spotted. The detection level alerts are so spotty that I will use them for submarines, because it's nice to know for them and in case of a negligent screwup on my part it can't be catastrophic, but for CV TFs and amphibs and the like, I will go to the TF screen and sort by detection.

Status: offline 		Is there a way to reset the tracker to reload turn 1? I'm trying to reload my pre-turn 1 save with additions I make as I prepare my grand campaign, but after the initial turn 1 load it doesn't update.

Status: offline 		Each turn number can be loaded just once and they need to be loaded in numeric order.
You could start over and use the initial (pre-orders) turn 1.

Alerts will not show up on the first turn you load in. The Alerts are generated by comparing the new turn to the previous turn(s), so you need to load a second turn in before any will show up.

I don't quite follow what you mean by it always read(s) the same (turn?).

In the Industry tab - CS convoy tool, I seem to be unable to find certain ports/locations in the Starting Point dropdown list as Japan. For instance, I just captured Miri in the DEI and want to look into optima routes between Miri and Japan, but I can't seem to find it on the list. Any pointers? Or am I using the CS convoy tool wrong?

Looks to me like these drop-downs are populated only when the program starts up, so if your base list changes, you'd need to quit the program and restart (that's just a quit and start, not a complete re-load of the database; just to be clear).

The location you specified in the witptracker.properties for the save file could be for another game.

Status: offline 		It's the same as it's always been. Database Maintenance reports all of the turns up to 448, but when I try to "read turn" it still tells me "turn 441 is already loaded. Very odd.

Edit: I just re-did all of the settings in that file. Operating as normal. Thank you.

Status: offline 		Tracker is taking longer and longer to load. Wondering if the trackerdb.data file size is having an impact. It's 836,000 KB.

Can you recommend any tweaks (or things to do/avoid) to get it load faster than 5-10 minutes (and sometimes longer)?

Status: offline 		It's based on how many turns are loaded. You can shorten the startup time by deleting the DB and starting over from later in the game.

I have some ideas on shortening the startup, but it requires a good amount of work to overhaul and with work, family and my volunteer "career", it's hard to find the time.

Status: offline 		For anyone that wonders, Tracker will run using the 64 bit Java. But there may be some problems using 64 bit Java with other apps.
The loading was faster, not dramatic, but about 35% faster load times. You will have to have a 64 bit machine of course.
I was using -Xms2g -Xmx4g for memory settings.

Haven't posted in this forum for a long time, but I've looked in occasionally. Am still playing solo, mostly WitP, and there is one thing that has irked me for a while. You remember I asked you to include a date-of-arrival column in the Ship Production panel, and you did that admirably. Where I went wrong was telling you to use the normal date format for the output. It would have been better to use the ISO format (Pearl Harbor Day in ISO is "1941-12-07") because then sorting by that column would show the ships in the sequence they really arrive in. As it is, you can only sort by the DELAY Column where accelerated ships constantly move up through the ranks and you have to reconcile the DELAY and ACCELERATED_DELAY columns to get an idea of which ships arrive next. Is it too late to fit that in?

To get the ISO format you could use an additional SQL statement:

SELECT gamedate + :calculated_delay DAYS AS DATE_OF ARRIVAL

SELECT CHAR(DATE_OF_ARRIVAL,ISO) INTO :eta-column

Maybe the following nested query would work too:

SELECT CHAR(SELECT gamedate + :calculated_delay DAYS AS DATE_OF ARRIVAL,ISO) INTO :eta-column

but I am not sure about that, have not done much SQL lately.
