ORIGINAL: jb123 Hey, sorry to bug you guys. I love the tracker and have never had problems with it, but now, after I've loaded about a hundred turns on my current game, I'm getting the memory problem. I tried the two suggestions you have posted on troubleshooting section but no joy. Nothing at all happens if I use the jar file. when I use the bat file it says tables loaded in xx seconds, like usual, but then immediately crashes to the mem prob. I noticed that I cannot associate the bat file using the "open with" dialog because that option doesn't exist for the bat file (only the jar file) Also, I'm a bit confused by the instructions. Is the bat or the jar file preferable? I have always used the bat file. Until this week, never had problems with it. I am using 1.4, I copied over the bat file and have used it for a few weeks of game time with no probs. I run XP and have Java all the way updated. Is it possible a windows update was installed recently which may be messing with it? Thanks again for the excellent program. The batch file should always be used, the JAR file doesn't have any memory considerations so will only work (probably) with an initial load ... I'd say edit your batch file to increase your memory settings and try to run again. 100 turns is not so great and we are working on reducing the load times, but I never run more than 50 turns before deleting the DB and restarting... There is a lot of data we are saving and using and well this is at present not something we have overcome.
