This makes me believe that you have tried to open the db twice.
java.sql.SQLException: The database is already in use by another process: org.hs
Have you tried to use the open office database program?
Or did you have tracker fail not too long ago? If so, you might try a reboot of your computer.
I'm sure floyd or damien will be by shortly to better answer your question.
Hello Nomad,
well, I didn't use open office and also tried a reboot, but the message remains the same.... But thank you very much for your answer!
There is probably a trackerdb.lck file. If you're willing to take a risk, delete that file and then restart WitPTracker.
Floyd
Hello Floyd,
thanks very much for looking into this! I followed your advice and searched for such a file, but in the folder(s) of Tracker isn't anything like that and the Windows 7 search function showed no hit. I have a screenshot of the folder. What baffles me is the second bat file "nomap", but deleting it didn't help either.....
[...]
Looks like there are no database files at all.
The second batch file includes a command to disable the map display in the program (improves start time and solves some memory issues).
I assume you edited the witptracker.properties file to match your environment, right?
I ran some tests today and found that if I load a new turn then the mine 'change' appears to be WAD comparing the current turn with the previous turn. However, if I do not load a new turn when Tracker opens then it displays what I am saw in the screenshot.
If you would like more details just let me know. Thanks!
Marc

Here is a screenshot of what I am seeing (example Rabaul shows -5 but that occurred much earlier on turn 108). I thought it had been this way for awhile but perhaps my database is corrupted?
This was not my intention (to make "Change" apply for past turns), so I'll take a look at the code tonight, if I can find a chance.

You'll probably need to download it before playing ... it is fairly small in screen size, so I might remake it and break it into 2 parts at a higher res. as Google only allows me 20mb upload at any one time.
Hope it helps some of you who have problems setting up and loading turns.

That's the mistery. After saving my changes to the properties file and executing the bat file that error posted by me is documented and the four trackerdb files you show don't come up! Really strange....... And yes, I followed the steps described on your tracker site to implement the program on my system.... (downloading, unzipping.....) Technically I'm not the brightest, but even I should be able to accomlish that!

Some message must have come up in the command window that pops up when you execute the batch file. If not, go to a command prompt, change directory to the WitPTracker folder and type "WitPTracker". Can you capture the messages?

Floyd,
I love the new ship class .csv file. Would it be possible to add the ship class ID to the Ships.csv in a later version so I can link them automatically?
Also, does Tracker run on Windows 7? I tried to run it on my Windows 7 machine and it is having problems. It might be Java version problems too.

Hello again Floyd. Well, that's the point where I finally seem to loose road contact. When executing the bat file, nothing else than the black DOS box pops up, documenting the error posted by me earlier.... And concerning "a command prompt" to change directory to the folder, I -well, please don't laugh too loud at me- don't know what that is and how that works.... I'm getting sad now concerning my own dumbness, because I feel that playing the campaign without your certainly fantastic tool will become a pain.....

Yeah, I can consider adding that one.

Did you check the Support section on the WitPTracker site for some ideas?

That doesn't seem right, since there are no other database files in your folder to complain that the database is in use. What's in your "lib" folder?

Thank you for 1.6.1.
I still found the problem that some LCUs which didn’t move for some months were reported LCU arrived. They were also reported errorneously LCU arrived after upgrade to 1.6.
I'm not sure what's happening, so can you send me a save (witptracker @ gmail.com) from the turn before the alert and a turn with the alert (e.g., 228 and 229)?
1.6.1. only enhances the standard of excellence that Tracker represents; my sincere gratitude and appreciation for this outstanding tool. I doubt that I would have ever made it out of the AE starting gate without Tracker (and the awesome Forumites!) to help me understand the complexities and mystery's of the AE universe.

I would also like to express my thankfulness! Damian finally solved my problem, which had been a Windows 7 issue I would never have thought about! The assistance and the help you get here from these great guys is just outstanding and unique, and the tool itself is nothing but fantastic!!!

Need help here:
I am trying to figure out how to find air units that can upgrade to a given a/c; e.g. which units can upgrade to the George with PDU on. It's obvious how to do it with PDU off, but how do you do it with PDU on?
I have seen posts where people have used Tracker to determine this, but I am unable to see how.

In the Air Groups and Pilots panel, choose the Airgroups tab. There, select the target aircraft model (e.g., N1K2-J George), then in the Special menu, choose "Upgrade to".

Floyd is quite correct, however the "Upgrade TO" option just shows straight upgrades according to the DB defined upgrades. Now this information changes as you upgrade your airgroup, so it isn't static and can only be used to see the upgradeTo option (where aircraftId = upgradeID). RIGHT NOW
Whereas in the upgradeTo(path)I look at each of these upgradeID's and check the aircraft nationality, the attributes and the type and compare that to the upgrade that you want.If these match then I extrapolate that you can up / downgrade to the model you want. (Usually a downgrade but not always)
I'm going to look into ways of making this information more accessible to Tracker users; showing the path or something better but for now however this is what is avail.
