OK,

Got a leader bug but it isn't too bad. Spruance has been duplicated. In the attached save he is in charge of TF 137 (at Pearl Harbor) and is also available in the pool.

I did not catch the bug occurring - I noticed him in the pool twice. So, I went back to the oldest save I have (it's way back thanks to the great feature Autosave). That's the save attached.

The only thing that I can think of where the bug might have occurred is when I lost a CV in combat. The TF leader was not lost, but frankly I don't even remember if it was Spruance in charge of the TF.

What happened was the CV was badly damaged and split off into an escort TF, then sank a few days later. So, if that is when the bug occurred perhaps it was in the routine that's splits out the damaged flagship. Just guessing on that part.

There are two separate leader entries for Spruance (14058 and 22048). Since this is a player modified scenario, I can not tell if it is a data entry error or something in the executable.

Sorry, I can not work on player modified scenarios.

He is in s1 twice as TF leader at start and later in 43 as HQ leader.

Is it being fixed in patch 2, or is it as intended?

You know this could be intentional and I think I like the idea.

HQ vs TF is a decent idea, provided you could keep him from doing both at once (seems unfair otherwise).

But - I noticed the bug when I created an air combat TF, then went to assign a TF commander. Spruance was there twice. Although I didn't specifically try it, I'm pretty sure that means I could assign him to command two TF's. Definitely unfair!

Hmm I thought that had been changed, if not then no need for two ldrs.

Well, it might have been changed already - I've been running this game for quite a while. Perhaps the problem was injected into the game pre-patch. Dunno. But when I saw a leader issue I figured I should let you guys see what I saw.
