Hello,

I sent an email to support@matrixgames.com about 7 days ago but haven't heard anything... so I thought maybe someone else may have experienced this issue here or have some advice.

I have the downloadable version of Hornet Leader. I bought it when it was first released and I recently tried to reinstall it. I'm using Windows XP SP3.

When I install it freezes on the very last file (readme.rtf). I've let it sit for over 5 minutes and nothing happens. If I click on Cancel I get the "Not Responding" in the title. I have to close out using the X button.

The files do install to a folder however I'm assuming the install didn't finish setting up the serial number since when I click on the hornet leader exe file I get an error code 200 about "error with your serial number as entered". I have confirmed the serial number entered matches the email I received (copied and pasted)... I also checked the online invoice through the site.

I have rebooted, disabled my Microsoft Security Essentials (you never know) and yet nothing has worked to allow the installation to finish.

Also, the shortcuts and links under "Start\Programs" are never created.

Just in case anyone else has this problem... the only way I could get it installed was to boot into safe mode. Once installed I could play with no problems in a normal bootup.

I have the same problem and your solution work (I'm under W7 64 bits).

But I still have problem after mission. Something I have a black screen during the way from target to carrier... And nothing happen :s It's not happen every time, just time to time :s

The carrier mission has a bug; crashes the game. Happens in Demo a lot. I reported this three years ago. No response. One of the main reasons I never purchased the game. I did recently purchase Dan's new board game version. Pretty sure that one won't crash halfway through.
