A double update. The presence if Australian divisions in Burma is ironic; as long as Oz is invaded I think we should have made a house rule saying that all Oz units should be sent home to fight there. Hi Tomasek and welcome to the thread Yes, holding Burma is important in a lot of way; can probably put up a "10 Most Important Reasons to defend Burmna" list! You start the war with many single regiments; I never split them up myself. Maybe I can combine a division or two, but it will take a lot of work to bring all the piece together. I did bring together three A, B and C regiments of a Japanese Army division in China today; when I did so there was no rebuild option even though all parts were together and in the same mode Thai Army didn't historically move much outside of Thailand; I am using it to garrison rear area bases south of Rangoon to Malaya and Saigon. They require a lot of time to train and become even somewhat usefull as rear area garrisons. Can't see any combat value in them at all, Bangkok defences is made up around a Jap Guards regiment, Bombardments are less effective now, my biggest concern is now coastal guns; still not hit many mines but I've noticed how potent they are! AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR Nov 22, 42 Air Combat Andy sends in his medium bombers by mistake and we gun down 30 Blenheims et al. Some 47 Allied ac lost to just a few jap. Andy said he tried a long range 4E attack with P-38's on escort; obviously this sortie never got off the ground. To my annoyance lots of our ground attacks in Mandalay goes after a couple of gun regiments.
