A raider intercepts a convoy; after a shootout with the Taney (5" guns) the raider has to withdraw with moderate damage. A tanker is torched and 3 other ships reported hit. Been fleshing out the airgroups aboard the Unryu today; Looks like 30 fighters, 20 Judys and 18 Jills will be the complement. That's 68 ac, a slight overstacking (63 ac standard) but well within the 15% limit (9 ac). We now got 10 engineer and construction units ready to ship out to build bases and fortifications. They will mainly go to the area between New Guinea to Sumatra. As soon as the outer line of defenses and forts are completed the engineers are moved into the interior to build forts and bases we still not have had capacity to develop. My big challenge is that I really need to divide a division into 10 sub units (430 / 10 = 43 AV would have been perfect). Don't have enough small sized LCUs to garrison the myriad of important bases in Malaya, Philippines etc. Anyone have a good receipt for how I can divide a large LCU into equal smaller units?
