OK the attack is underway in Australia its 4 pronged.

1st Aus Div advancing along the west coast from Geraldton.

A Bde Gp of 2nd Aus Div on 100% air supply advancing and the north coast also from Perth

A full Armoured Corps advancing on the Darwin line from Geraldton

Airborne and light engineer units leapfrogging across the Gulf of Carpathia

I dont have the naval power to achieve much but on land I suspect PZB will bug out leaving me having recaptured north Australia

ps the armoured corps was supposed to be a good bit further on by now but I underestimated the rough terrain which slowed them down covering 2 hexes every 3 days for now so 9 hexes for my armour to go so 12 - 13 days to get to Daly Waters

Still no reaction in North Australia to my advances my spearhead is 90 miles from Daly Waters albeit with no combat power the armour is moving rapidly on the open terrain making 30 miles plus a day its currently about 240 miles from Daly and moving fast the storm will soon break on north Australia

In the East A lot of tanks and Motorised bdes are driving on Daly waters and Katherine.

My original plan was supposed to be a lot more aggressive but so many carrier losses meant I am having to be quite carefull

So an overland assault on Darwin is the best option I now have I do have other plans and forces assembling in a few places LCU's are not the issue but theycan only get to grips in two theatres and Burma is probably a dead theatre for a while

I have a few options but mostly I just need to be patient

Amazingly still no reaction in north australia

Armoured spearheads are about 90 miles away my engineers are about 30 neither has been spotted yet should be interesting to see what happens

The AA Gp is about 130 and the Inf is waaaay behind.

The re conquest of the North is on I expect battle to be joined in the next 2 - 3 days if I am lucky

3 Tank Bdes
2 Motorised Bdes
4 Tank Bns and 2 Armoured Car Regts are approaching en masse at about 30 miles per day I estimate 3 turns before they arrive at Daly Waters.

The Armnoured Cars will act as scouts I would love to get them loose in the enemies rear area

In North Australia III Corps Armour has driven north freeing the population of Daly Waters and continuing to drive north I have about 1500 AV of Armour in open ground and no sign of heavy Japanese Inf Divs which are about the only thing capable of stopping me.

Supply is ....precarious but against this opposition I can keep going.

In the West Paratroopers captured Exmount and 255th Indian Armoured Bde relieved the base north of Geraldton - the campaign to free North Australia is well and truly on !!!

In India 60 aircraft were lost for 30 Japanese when my raid got bushwacked - I can take the losses now my reserves are sufficient and the objective is achieved as the Oil and Refinery are totally destroyed

My fleet is starting to re concentrate ready for future operations I am not rushing it as I am waiting for additional carriers to arrive

They are rolling crushing all opposition in open terrain you need a well dug in Division massive airpower edge or forts to stop tanks in open country.

If I can take Darwin quickly this will be a good start to the 4th 6 month period.

Katherine falls and my Armour is pressing on.

The Light Horse Troopers and the 2/11th Armoured Car boys have been detached to try and recapture Wyndham and Derby.

The lead Bde of 2nd Aus Div is crossing the Moutnains towards Broome about 160 miles away now.

All across the front the advance is on but I am hitting empty air....

PZB has done it again he must have evacced weeks ago this is the 3rd time he has pulled out in the nick of time....

Bloody annoying but he is very very good ;)

p.s. my plan is nearly set I am just waiting for the last few elements of the OOB to arrive

7th Fleet will be leading the assault with a number of carriers I will outline my fleet composition when I am finally ready

The plan will involve 20+ Carriers, 10= BB's, 50+ Cruisers, (Only 70 Destroyers I am light on DD's which is a worry for subs), 30 subs, and 300 transports with 7 - 8 Divs assault loaded.....
