Hey you guys....I finally finished Axis turn 20.  I captured Odessa and moped up somewhat the line near D-town and gained a hex or two near Smolensk etc.  You can find the Axis turn 20 AAR here:  http://www.filedropper.com/dahdfitegameturn20

BTW, that link is broken again??
All of you guys didn't realized it?

Thanks for your info Dave.  I uploaded the AAR again to the same file server and it gave me the same link again.  So I clicked on it and the link worked.  So I guess that the link is okay now.  Also, if the link was bad and nobody noticed it can only mean that you were the only guy that tried it and that means nobody but you is reading the pigs.  Maybe I should discontinue my AAR labors and just post a picture or two with some verbage like everybody else?

I was thinking same thing... At least i have one IRL friend who downloads & reads your reports as well, but he doesn't use matrixgames as community.
Maybe people are too lazy to download things.. I dont know. It sucks that you use lots of time on AAR and guys don't even download it.

BTW: Those historical pics are nice, maybe i should post some too?

Well I'll try to be honest here, and do not want to offense anyone, but I think I might have said this before: downloading a file to read an AAR won't give you as many hits as just posting the screenies here. Yes the downloadable file is much bigger and more detailed, but in my experience not too many people will do that. Sure I d/l and read your AAR, not al of the time though. So it might be a good idea to post the screenshots here, with your expertise added ofcourse, that way you surely will get more interaction with other AAR readers.

I do prefer the more detailed, downloadable AAR format you’ve been using as of late. But Josh may be right in that the conventional, forum-based format helps the interaction with more readers.

Most of us can’t even dream of having the time play monster scenarios like FITE so, whatever the format, keep the AARs coming. In any case, thanks for your time and involvement .

PS: As a side note, maybe you should consider other file hosting providers different than Filedropper. Recently, I’ve tried to download your latest D21 AAR and the installments hosted at Filedropper weren’t retrievable while the one at Mediafire was still there.

Here's a teaser from the FITE game Dave and I are playing. I've managed to build another sortof 'front line' between the Soviet stragglers and safety and whether or not it will hold them back from their front lines remains to be seen.

I finally finished the Axis turn 21 AAR and posted it at a different file server this time.  You can find it here:

http://www.mediafire.com/?yu4jwuy2ynn

I made some successful river crossings near Leningrad and Kherson and have some units adjacent to D-town now.  Most of the action was in the south.

The situation doesn't look too good for Axis. Seems like the Soviets are pretty well set on defense.

You are correct ( again ) and it's going to be hard slogging to get through all those Soviet defenders. I expect heavy losses just to gain a hex or two. I guess I took too long to get to this position in terms of turns taken. It's already turn what, 21 or something and I haven't entered the Ukrane yet. I've only just now captured Odessa for crying out loud.

Turn 21

31. August - 2. September 1941
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Leningrad situation. City's main-defense line holds fine so far, only problem is now germans strong panzer-spearhead in centre of the line (6. & 1. Pz packed with SS Polizei division and some infantry divs), maybe i should bring one army more to stop it?

Some men from 3rd Militia division moving in Novgrod's suburbs, there's heavy fighting going on at city.

Next, south of Leningrad area: Northwest & Kalinin fronts. Panzer-spear is hammering my line hardly, i should get my armies from there to better positions... Maybe behind Zapnay Diva's river or something...

It's round 3 and the bridgehead that was established across the river just southwest of Leningrad last turn has expanded somewhat this turn. Now if only it had a good supply line into it.

Turn 25

14. September - 16. September 1941
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Alllright. First, situation in south. I had to pull back 51. Army (again) from south of Dnepr-river into new positions between Perekop and Nikopol. Now Larry have clear, open road to Crimea, but i have filled whole Crimean-gap with Separate Coastal Army + packed with some NKVD's units and militia divisions.

Some marines from Black Sea fleet's 1st Cadet brigade guarding the beaches in city of Sevastopol.

Situation in Orel & Bryansk fronts. New line is (almost) built and ready for action. Couple divisions got encircled and destroyed. This area definitely needs reinforcements ASAP.

Encircled 242nd Rifle division from 30. Army defending their last positions and trenches until last man.

Last but not least, Leningrad's situation. Much have changed here: Germans 1. and 6. Panzer divisions almost cracked my line at bulge, but i patched the hole this turn with 27. Army. Leningrad's future doesn't look good. I need to bring 1-2 armies more here ASAP.
