China: LYB air to ground attacks near Chungking have no escorts. That 1/2 squadron of RAF Hurris opearting near Chungking must be full of aces by now. At least 8 Jap bombers shot down..more with operational losses for sure.

Changsha is a glowing ember. A shipment of marshmallows is being packed in by Mongorian pony to help morale.

Hummmm, okay, this is still English....I think. I'll take a stab at it. It seems the good Admiral is upset that something, presumably a warplane, will not fly as ordered. However, I was unaware that the Allies fielded a plane called a Crab...much less a Bastard Crab. Hummm. Sounds dangerous though.

Close - the Crabs in question are the aircrew of said warplanes, thus called because of their loose morals and poor hygeine which give them an itchy affliction. The pit referred to is obviously the "Snake Pit" area of their mess where drunken crabs engage in activities such as the pool table game "Crud", making tunnels out of couches and sending teams through from each end, and, of course, passing out or throwing up. No wonder they refuse to leave such a paradise!

See...that's the thing. Having spent half a century speaking an approximation of Engrish, I would have thought "pit" might be the aircraft reventments, but I also guessed "Bunting Tosser" was just a flouncy higher level naval officer.

I am also witholding judgement on whether it is all a conspiracy of thousands (well, at least 2..there is Admiral Lord SPrior and now, FOW appears to be in on it too). They may be secretly exchanging emails and giggling at our hillbilly gullibility.

I've half a mind to start making stuff up too.

Overall, nothing bad happened off Northern Oz.

The carriers should be refueling at sea today.

Aus 6th and 7th Div are already on their way to Colombo (circumnavigating Oz to the East).

RN BB/BC will leave Darwin today after refueling.

Invasion for Sorong loading at Darwin. One USMC Regt and one tank bn. fully prepped.

Also to be done before a landing on Sualwese:

1) Build Terante to level 2 with adequate supply.
2) Pick up the workhorse 503rd PIR assemble at that base West of Ambon..forget what it is called. This preparation for an air drop on Sulawese.
3) Build up Saumalki to level 5 and get an Air HQ there.

Hey...speaking of being on the same side, the RN needs to step up to the plate here. One of those adjective carriers shows up in Panama in 13 days with snazzy news airplanes but no surface escorts. Am I supposed to just send her across the Pacific with no DD's? You want she should take the secret submarine-proof tunnel to Cape Town?

I do have two USN DD's waiting to escort her should that be necessary.
