15 kills in a Wildcat is pretty impressive but so is 14 in a P-40E

Ah, yes. Fenton's wolf genes switch on and he tries to disembowel the Queen's deer. He becomes an instant celebrity.

No kidding. The poor fellows are stuck in some mosquito-infested basha flying missions over Myitkinia while you luxuriate at Kandy House and replace secretaries just because of "ankle sag"

************************March 15, 1943(c)*********************

Doesn't it seem like we did March 15 already? Oh well.

Cagayan et. environs: JJ surface force proves to be Oyodo and DD's. Oyodo and Oakland (on the way to San Jose) miss each other. Instead, Oyodo finds the westernmost picket HMIS Punjab.

Night Time Surface Combat, near Tagbilaran at 79,87, Range 2,000 Yards

Japanese Ships
CL Oyodo
DD Kiyonami
DD Samidare
DD Satsuki
DD Minazuki

Allied Ships
AM Punjab, Shell hits 20, Torpedo hits 3, and is sunk

Punappan D. crosses the T of the IJN...and then a 6 inch shell knocks off his beautiful turban. It's all down hill from there.

Oyodo steams SE for Cagayan but now runs into Juneau coming East from Jolo. A beautifully symmetrical fight although Juneau happens to be a "machine gun" cruiser. We are getting better at night fights. We win.

DD Samidare, Shell hits 2, on fire
DD Satsuki, Shell hits 3, on fire
DD Minazuki, Shell hits 2

Allied Ships
CLAA Juneau

Oyodo and Kiyonami likely mortally wounded. Minazuki badly hurt. 2 other IJN DD's burning.

We lose two minesweepers and some LCT's.

That Siri Tzu app is crap.

There is a Jap division North of Ramree, forget which one. It will take a while for them to reach the landing site. They will be at risk of getting cut off.

My dearest Spri;

How is Vicky working out? Hope you got rid of that ankle sag problem. Moana just brought up a good point about the Ramree thing. Why don't we send in some aviation support to Akyab so we can LRCAP over the landing beaches with P-38's and P-40K's? Also this, does JJ have anything at Prome? If not we might be able to take it by paradrop to ease a crossing of the Irrawaddy. I will lay off any P-38 or P-40K replacements so you can fill up the squadrons.

With unconvincing sincerity;

Fleet Admiral Mandrake

Just looked. We have 38 P-40K's and 4 P-38G's. There are 6 B-17F's if you want to convert a B-25 sqdrn. I will backconvert a B-24D squadron to 25's so you can fill out Tenth Air Force heavies.

RAF fighters are virtually tapped out but you have a couple of Liberator II's.

Shipment of Parchesi boards and nudie posters on the way.

I took the liberty of having Frobisher and her DD wait for Victorioius near DG.

Pennslyvania is headed for Colombo. Feel free to use her when patched up. Resolution leaving Pearl in about 2 days when a DD gets there.

Sorry about Punjab. Not sure how she ended up in the Phillipines. Not sure what Thracian is doing in the PI either. I'll send her along.

According to NBC News, Uncle Oscar is not on the short list. We need more to call or email the Vatican.
