Christmas in March! The Logistical Fairy left 20K supply and 5K fuel at Butuan (Mindanao). That doubles our supply reserves and quintuples the fuel supply on Mindanao.

Loading up some 40 Shermans in Darwin and dispatched transports for regiments at Ternate and Merauke and Derby. We're goona have a banyan!

Newly arrived CA's heading to Cagayan for a raid on Leyte tomorrow night.

Here is the problem with these annoying LYB "suicide missions". Sometimes the suicide part is not adequately explained to the participants.

I don't see this as lack of progress. You lost two squads destroyed while he lost 14, and he had only 45% or your numbers. There are no forts indicated and his prep is below par. Bring in some tanks if you got'em.

I think I worked out how half of the Bn survived....they scrambled onto landing craft that were not sunk..either that or they swam ashore. 87 squads lost, 83 disabled. Gosh, I hope this doesn't get back to Port Hueneme.

That loss of the landing craft was really bugging me so I looked up from the previous turn what was embarked aboard them trying to figure out how you can get 1,200 men on 9 LCVP's and one LCT.

The answer is you can't. It was actually 432 men and one vehicle of 7th USN Naval Construction Bn. The Bn HQ, 12 vehicles and 215 men are still at Cotabato.

Just goes to show you how much freindly FOW there is.

AND it works in your favour - the LYBs think they just wiped out a whole SeaBee Bn.
Perhaps those defenders at Davao will have their own banyan to cerebrate and use up the remaining suppry of Emporer Brand Koor Aid before your next attack. I'm sure the GIs and Leathernecks would be preased about that!

I suppose I did know that now that I think about it but somehow I got the idea that troop loss reports during naval combat were accurate.

I take it back. This is more complicated than I originally estimated. I dont think Homo ergaster would be very good at this. Maybe WOW. Here is "Turkana Boy"..well...a recreation of his skull at least.

Lord Admiral Sprior,

I was wondering if you've been able to upgrade to some of these fine aircraft yet. Seems as though a typical payload consists of 4x125kg bombs and a centerline torpedo. What an amazing payload! Jolly good show what.

Looks like they used some of the leftover scaffolding pipe to mount the horizontal stabilizer on that Barracuda! Strange how one slants forward and the other slants aft.

As for that ugly Mark VI Wellie, it just needs some shark teeth below that protubance on the nose and it will be cute-ugly, in a Disney sort of way.
