Did I do that Seal/Heidi Klum joke already? Somehow I get the feeling I did that already? It isn't even very funny..stupid really.

Somebody would tell if I used that gag before, right?

Poor Admirar Fabertong was a bit frustrated with the Kate attack on the PT boats at San Jose. Can't say I blame him but it was his ship that scared away Juneau.

I hope USS Denver is OK. Evidently she is beached with 89% flotation damage. The only way to save her is to literally build a dock AROUND the ship and bring in some electrical outlets for the shop vacs.

There are at least 3 Academy Award winning movies (including cast) with the following ending in the title....."argo"

Name them for a chance to win a primo lot on the 9th hole at the future Busuanga Golf and Country Club*

That is correct! We'll put you down for a lot on the right side of the fairway about 150 yds out from the men's tee.

Does it come with bullet proof glass on the fairway view side? Non-dent siding [preferably surplus armor plate]? Scuff proof shingles or tiles? A force field of appropriate size would be a suitable alternate to the previous specifications ... Milo does have one, doesn't he?

Someone has been using my computer again. The "meet singles in area" ads have switched back to men. Now, I'm not saying they are not good looking guys, but still.

I also got a free offer from Ancestry.com for free access to the African American History Section. Not sure what they are trying to tell me.

Bettys that attacked the empty transports at Boela are coming from the WSW, probably Flores. There aren't enough fighters to go around as we have to have fighters now at Port Hedrand, Derby, Horn Is., Darwin, Merauke, Sorong, Saumlaki, Sulawese, Ternate, Sangi, Jolo, Cagayan and San Jose.

The entire approach to Darwin from West or East and then the move up to Mndanao is observed and vulnerable. I take the fighter group at Boela for one day and rook what happens.

Almost all of the most experienced USAAF fighter squadrons are in PI, Moluccas, Sulawese and the Lesser Sundas.

We have a 3rd Army style problem. We have outrun the support. Lots of repairing aricraft. Also, you can see what a workhorse the P-39D is. We even have P-40B and P40-E sqaudrons still on the frontlines.

You may want to keep an eye on the 318th FG (Luganville) fliers. Do you have them chained into their cockpits? Fatigue levels >20 will significantly impact their usefulness.

The chief problem with Hermes is her speed, which makes her unsuitable to operate with the CV's. In this case, however, she can hang with the CVE's. The capacity is also an issue but Admiral Lord Sprior is going to want a good CAP when he gets near Burma. I'm thinking leave most of the bombers behind and pack the things with carrier capable fighters, Sea Hurris, Martlets or even <gasp> Fulmars.

Long Island has an amazingly inept AA suite. We have subs with higher AA ratings.

Just thought of another virtue of Hermes. If there is a Jap attack the bombers might go after her instead of Victorious or one of the CVE's.

Yes Hermes can operate with the CVE's but she has very short legs which can be a logistical pain.
