Good lord, you must fight harder. We can't have NZ losing every world cup except the first AND their country!! Give it more welly

Am giving a good fight. Have lots of troops and supplies in Auckland. The first relief convoy was destroyed by KB which put a crimp in things. Lack of troops is hindering me from opening a second front but I am working on it. We are in late May 42. Things should look better once the next patch comes out. Wellington is also well fortified, just lacks simple things like armor, artillery and infantry. KB is camped south of Wellington hindering reinforcements.

March 26th

Trusty finds another target and takes it down, that's 2 in 2 days. The Dutch submarine force scores a notable kill with Kitakami and the allied cruiser force takes down an entire convoy with embarked troops. I'll let the USN commander tell of their true heroics.

An IJN cruiser force beats up Ambon but then an A-24 puts a 1000lb bomb through one of their desck as revenge.

...sort of

The Allied crusiers again hold their own against Jap BB's, although 3 DD's are lost. Hiei will undoubtedly need yard time and may fall prey to the nest of subs.

A clean sweep on a Jap convoy bringing eager young LYB's to the Grymes' New Dyke Line.

La Foa airfield is hurt pretty badly but is still operational. 5 aircraft are destroyed on the ground and twice that many damaged. New Edinburgh is a train wreck.

We're going to occupy the Arakan peninsula. This will force JJ to keep combat troops in Burma or allow the RAF to set up shop within short legged fighter range of Mandalay, which I'm pretty sure they won't like.

Another large(ish) supply convoy is on its way to Darwin with 73,000 tons of tinnies and baccy for the Pongoes there. 140,000 tons are being unloaded at Perth.

PoW and Repulse are going to need bigger dry docks to finish their repairs, they'll probably have to go to PH sadly.

Yes, the cupboard is a bit bare.

It nearly just got worse. TF 102 (Lake) closed on Tanna, either drove off or just missed the Jap transports, then was subjected to eighty five sorties of angry Bettys and Kates but miraculously escaped undamaged. The Kates with Zero escorts are probably from a carrier which means the surface action is over again for a while anyway.

It might be possible for Kates to reach Tanna from New Ullapool (they were using level bombing) but it was still providential for them to escape like that. This means, of course, that God is on OUR side. There can be no other interpretation.

Meanwhile, I am going to have to find out where the damn Bettys are coming from.

I dunno, there are quite a few offensive matelots in Oz right now, getting yanks drunk and tattooing them with the White Ensign, making suggestive remarks to the wives and daughters of certain Australian Divisions that are a long way away. Not that I know or knew any like that. No sir, not at all.

Quick march! off caps! How do you plead? 14 days 9s.

What about the McGoo clan? They are demonstrably crappy pilots. Does anyone here imagine they chose a lifestyle of convergent strabismus and permanently bruised foreheads?

Oh, yeah, sorry.

Forehead: That generally smooth area above the eyebrows that goes mainly straight up and down in most people but in some slopes backward waaay too much and you find yourself asking "Holy crap! How does that guy form a cogent thought?" Of course, you shouldn't really say that out loud because the severely backsloping forehead confers a significant advantage in a fist fight. The forehead is also known to enlarge over time in some men. Ironically, a forehad that is too big can also be a cause for derision.

I suspect that the McGoos's convergent strabismus is just another Appalachian step in the Darwinian evolution of Homo Sapiens. While convergent binocular vision was a useful attribute used by arboreal primates to estimate distance when swinging from branch to branch in the trees bordering the African savanna, an independent polyocular arrangement would be far better suited to a fully aerial life where immediate detection of a threat takes priority over determining the actual range of the threat.

After all, the McGoos are PBY pilots, not F4F jockeys closing in for the kill. Those Wildcat boys are the ones who need effective binocular vision to size up the range before they let loose the .50s.

The McGoos just gotta say, "I see them! Here they are! Now I'm getting the hell outta Dodge!"

Think about it. I vote for Natural Selection, not God's Will. But then again I majored in Biology a long time ago...

The poor McGoos are victims of unnatural deselection, but that's just God's will. C'est la guerre.

This is commonly known as a fivehead or even a sixhead in extreme circumstances.

Any Neanderthal (sloping forhead or otherwise) who scratches his balls with a salad fork deserves to be thrown out of the establishment. There is no room for apology or compromise. There is simply a basal level of decorum upon which Western civilization is built.

EVERYBODY knows that is supposed to be the desert fork.
