Sum Ting Wong.....I can't do "bold" or "color" or "italics" and the wrap-around function is borked.

I knew I shouldn't have logged onto Healthcare.gov yesterday.

My practice makes it much easier to compensate for these events .. I just pull a couple of more shifts ... I assume this requires a few more office visits ..

Sure, but I'm not really sure I enjoy working on weekends.

Sultan: <a large explosion lights up the harbor> OHHHHHHH! SPLENDID! <begins clapping as does the court, many of who are in their PJ's>

Minister, where is my oil minister?

Swarthy, unctious fellow with gay-looking beard, well, you know, trimmed too carefully: Yes, your Majesty?

Sultan: Oh, I just wanted to make sure we got paid first, right?
Where was Brunei going to spend the Southern Development Bank Notes they got from the Japanese? The residents of the Philippines referred to them as Mickey Mouse Money.

Quite.

Actually, the boards are having problems. There is a wandering Moose around here also having issues. It might be time to Chrome up your PC.

Or go back to blaming the nefarious liberal left. Whichever is easier

I am testing a post from Chrome right now and yes Chrome works as expected. I am thinking that the latest version of IE 11 -- that was forced upgraded by the way ... it what is responsible for the Cap's observed posting behavior .... It might be time for the Cap to Chrome up as you say ...

Wasn't today the maintenance upgrade? like 8am?

The first line techs are obviously working for the Govt now - so the third stringers are having trouble here....

We might have to conclude that the Sultan might not be the sharpest tool in the shed.

Here is what they looked like for Malaya, North Borneo, Sarawak and Brunei (they were called "banana notes" ). Even worse for the Sultan, they aren't of value even as toilet paper.

Good thing he had his pay as an Honorary Colonel of the Brunei Volunteer Force so he could afford some decent toilet paper. Sitting on a throne with a chafed rear end is probably not very pleasant.

So today I go in search of HR and find them in Fort Southwick. Now, I've been in a few HR departments but this was Alice in Wonderland stuff. I get to the front gate and there's a Centurion tank:

It's just the conning tower. She was broken up in 1961.

She spent the time between August 1944 and August 1945 with the Eastern Fleet, where she had an eventful career. She sank the Japanese army cargo ship Sugi Maru No.5 (the former Panamanian flagged, Norwegian owned Gran), twenty five Japanese sailing vessels, the Japanese trawler Matsujima Maru No.3, four Japanese coasters, including the Nippon Maru No.19, Nanyo Maru No. 17 and Nippon Maru No.14, a small Japanese tanker, five small unidentified Japanese vessels, ten small Japanese landing craft, three Japanese barges and a derelict wreck drifting in the Straits of Malacca, described as probably a coaster.

Does HR mean what it means here? "Human Resources".

In an HR department here you are likely to find a bunch of cubicles with middle-aged women, a portable video player and a bunch sexual harrassment how not to videos.

I have NEVER seen an AA gun or any pieces of artillery at an HR department here.

Yes, I do mean Human Resources. But then how many HR departments do you know of based in a fort?

Actually the SU made his first pun today. "Do you know why those alpacas need all those guns? They're getting ready for the alpacalypse".
