They look like the flags from a Panzer Campaign mod.

Correct Wodin, they are borrowed from Jison's excellent MapMod for the PzC's series. If there was any interest in them i would cantact Jison for his approval.

okay, I been waiting for the okay to post these shots, I didn't see any in the AARs being shown

here is the loss page, (shows loss numbers, air losses and now destroyed units)

which I think is outstanding

to the left shows the turn and the losses, on the right, shows how many of each type

but you see the little plus, click on that and it opens up the detail part

Is there a difference between a paradrop brigade and an airborne brigade?

Seems straight forward, the unit is named 10th Airborne Brigade and its type is Paradrop.

@HS

Were those destroyed AA battalions discrete assets? I thought WITE plays on a divisional level and doesn't know smaller entities.

those were support units, the HQ assigned to the battle

German Divs can have 3 support units assigned to them, Russian Corps can also

HQ's can have more and different types, that they can send to a battle to support it

Thought I recognised them. His mod work is very good for PZC. Ive done a little bit of modding for the SB series. Though what I'd like is the artwork from the Osprey series. I could get to work on new counter mods for SB then. Some tank/vehicle topdown art would be great aswell for SB. Oneday I will get stuck and try and do something.

Back to the game...

Great screenshots HardSarge....with this game and new screenies of CM Normandy being posted on the net it looks like the best tactical game and the best turn based operational game will come out this year!

Good Times.

I like the flags, but I'd be worried about having backgrounds behind the text as the text might become very difficult to read.

Hi Joel,

How about something like this behind the combat report screen?

I know some countries have a problem showing the Hakenkreuz, but this would not show it in the full form.

for what it is worth, after the game comes out, some mods can be made, as to what the player/players want, but it can not be sold with it

not sure how much of the commander reports have been posted in the different AARs, but here is some

top for the screen, you can see the different areas the reports cover, at the bottom, you see a ton of filters, and lots and lots of details on these pages

here is a list of the Axis forces

which as you can see, it is a big list

so go down to the filters and turn off everything but what you want to look at, say Armor, so here is my Armor

(those in Green are support units that the HQ can have)

3rd PZ Div is kind of stuck behind enemy lines right now :(

but that is easy to fix (the SU tried to make a forward line, my Inf are not up yet, so, it was either let it gel, or break into it, and force it to redeploy, if I let it gel (dig in) then the SU will have time to make a 2nd Major defence line behind the River, while I try and break down the first line, now his line is broke, and bending into the wrong areas and the river is clear)

What's an FBD, and why do they have different sizes in their TOE (note that some are 20060 men and not yet at full strength and others at 20020 at full strength)? As far as I know, there were no real divisions for construction units, only an Oberbaustab on Army level.

At the start of Barbarossa,
Oberbaustab 7 was with 17. Armee
Oberbaustab 10 and 18 were with 4. Armee.
Oberbaustab 14 and 19 were with 11. Armee.
Oberbaustab 17 was with 9. Armee.
Oberbaustab 32 was with 18. Armee/Panzergruppe 4.

have to ask JAW why we went with that name for the units

from what I know, those are the player controlled RR fixing units

TOE, well, some units may have more of one type of "troop" then others will, and some may have less

I would guess, that a key part of one of those is under the limit, so it shows at below 100%, even though it may have a squad or two someplace else, that is not seen as importent

(IE, like a Armored Brig, it may need say (guessing here) 20 light tanks, 40 med tanks and 15 Armor cars, so a unit may have 20 light, 30 Med Tanks and 30 armor cars, the number of men may be higher and the AFV count will be higher, but the TOE count will be under what is needed, some units will be stronger, some weaker, and over time, should level out, if combat doesn't ruin things)

Ah, OK, in that case FBD probably stands for Feldeisenbahndirektion. As they're labelled as "const" I thought they would be Bautruppen.

let see, the HQ can have support units, which they will either send to a battle being fought by one of there units, or they can "give" the support unit to the unit

here is one HQ and some of the support it has to off

opps, I forgot, it shows the save name, at times I can be kind of nasty when I save a game, got to watch out for that :)

now on some of the other combat screen shots, you may see the support unit, it may of been with the unit already, or was sent by the HQ

(only some of the support types can be assigned to a unit, the others are only under HQ control)

more on support units

for what ever reason, I figured I wanted this hex, I had a Mot Div with little fuel, and was able to just reach the battle field with 2 Inf Divs

they are from 3 different Corps, so raided each to get some support

this is the 2nd Inf Div
