I'm not in manhattan. In fact i think there are dairy farms right here on the island.

Long Island-I'm sure there are. Doubt seriously that they can provide sufficient supply for the bajillions of hungry mouths in that city over yonder. So, you've got to port it in, rail it in, drive it in or fly it onto the island then, matey.

Want cheap milk? Live in Wisconsin, Minnesota or Iowa. Want a decent pastrami sandwich? Live in New York City.

10,000 tonnes of metal is going to bring the knackers out of the woodwork for access to all that lovely steel. Pity.

My sister's place could be a dairy farm. Just have to figure out how to get the milk out of the cows.

Very happy for you Eric.

Now about that car. The trouble is that its probably French. See, your wife should be French (you got that one right), but your car should be German, your watch Swiss, your tea English, etc.

Heaven is where:
The lovers are Italian
The cooks are French
The mechanics are German
The police are English
The government is run by Swiss

Hell is where:
The lovers are Swiss
The cooks are English
The mechanics are French
The police are German
The government is run by Italians

if i might add...

Heaven is where:
The lovers are Italian
The cooks are French
The mechanics are German
The police are English
The government is run by Swiss
The drinking buddy is Irish

Hell is where:
The lovers are Swiss
The cooks are English
The mechanics are French
The police are German
The government is run by Italians
The drinking buddy is Irish

Would that be the O'Malley twins?

We had a recator panel operator called Beach Ball. Enuff said.

did he walk the two minute "run" portion of the physical tests while smoking a cigarette like our chiefs did?

Dunno, but he barely fitted through the main access hatch. If it had come to it guess who was going to be last out through the escape tower?

Edited for gender confusion.

One of the many things I like about this thread; if there are 2 ways to answer a question it will always be answered the wrong way.

I've got a doozy veterinary college education story there for you. It'll cost you a beer tho'.

The moral of the story: Don't give a portable milking unit to some knucklehead that grew up in the Pacific Palisades.

Hey Chicken, is it true that you Vets get around in big blue gloves, that go all the way up to your elbows. Then if a cow happens to be in the same rooms as you, you insert the said blue glove up the cows back passage, because this seems like very strange behavior to me.

"Very strange behavior"? Sez the large long-necked flightless talking grey bird. Why do you think I enjoy the splendor of THE THREAD so much, Dez?

But-to set the record straight:

Usually the gloves are clear.

They usually go up to one's armpit, not elbow.

Cows (and horses) are rectally palpated in order to assess ovarian follicular / CL development. It's a lot easier to predict their cycles for breeding or milking if you know whether they're pregnant or receptive to breeding.

And I mean receptive to breeding by homologous species.

i shudder to think that this sort of talk probably turns someone on...not necessarily the act of examination, but the use of such big and expensive words...
