So, for 10 points, what was the name of the US submarine that had been sent to recover the A-bomb? (No search engines!!)

We can only assume that is a code name, since no USN sub had a name even remotely resembling that.

Whilest to Faber is divine, I ain't Greek and therefore don't recognize the preeminence of Zeus. Sorry, big guy.

In 1999 (or was it '98?) there was an F5 that passed between Oklahoma City and Norman and leveled my mom's apartment complex. She was at her church at the time (it wasn't a Sunday, but she was one of the deacons) and so liked to tell me "See, son, good things happen to people who go to church!".

Of course, tornadoes are almost unheard of in the area where this heathen lives...

Just watched the first episode of the first series of the BBC's reimagining of Sherlock Holmes. Was actually much, much better than you'd think. It probably helped that I had no clue () about the existence of it until I saw it in tonight's TV listing.

Will definitely be tuning in for the second episode next Saturday.

I was surprised at how good it was too. It was written by the same guy who writes Dr Who.

Yep. One of the writers also played Mycroft.

Few months ago wife and I re-watched the BBC "I, Claudius"... what superb TV series... although 35+ years old it never lost the magic... superb acting... and no regret for absolutely no outside scenes...
