I've had a similar loss that is still very different.  I adopted 4 children with my ex, including bringing home tiny Julia Marie from the hospital when she was 5 days old.  She was 4 pounds, 9 ounces and had cocaine in her system at birth.  She's the only baby that I've had the pleasure and exhaustion of raising.  Long, long story made short, through legal actions, custody battles, and additional family situation, I no longer have any legal right to any contact with them.  I haven't seen them in 5 years.

The Lord does work in mysterious ways, however.  My son, Alex, lost his father to cancer at the same time that I was losing my other children.  He and I found each other at a time when we both needed it the most, and an amazing wife and mother came with the deal!

Ouch! Sounds like that separation is a subject best left unexplored.

It's just a very long story.....maybe one day over a 12 pack and several varieties of grilled meat.

Good morning tithe... I see some trolling going on in the main forum, given the great news I suppose I shouldn't be surprised.

Good morning, Des.

Yes, you are absolutely correct in your supposition. I have to head to the hockey rink pretty soon, so maybe I'll jump over there real quick and poke the trolls a bit and then run.

Hi Mike... Six months ago I would have done the same thing, but it just doesn't pull my string any more. They will answer with the same old predictable mindless rhetoric, normally insulting anyone who is not as stupid as them.

Of course you're right, Des.

I went and read new posts and ended up feeding my green button two more times instead of posting.

I just told the world that THE THREAD!!! was some kind of "celebration of life."  So, straighten up and toe the line, you miserable louts!  We need to make a good impression.

Crap! We gotta be on good behavior now? Does your 'celebration of life' also take into account the value of life enhancement with nonsensical fabers too?

Of course, CB!  A faber achieved is one step closer to becoming one with THE THREAD!!!  The only thing that can bring you closer is to spoil a faber on post 30 of a page.

Yup. You do have to remember that all its users are former abductees, who have now become free of the alien scourge ...

I did note the presence of three critical marketing messages in the very sophisticated message :
1. Presence of European testimonials. Lends the air of sophistication.
2. Presence of regular Joe testimonials. Lends an air of common application.
3. The fact that this was developed by 'an expert'. I mean, c'mon Per-would you trust your though screen helmet to amateur design?

Certainly not! Oh, the horror of a amateur made thought screen helmet!

Note the caveat; "The thought screen helmet has effectively stopped several types of aliens from abducting or controlling humans. Only three failures have been reported since 1998."
