1. Nailing the any BB (mushashi in my case) with two mark 10's from a s boat on forward port defence patrol as it comes in for a bombing run, leaving it alone with a destroyer just five hexes from some big air base (Lae's 24 beau ViC, 24 Regu Beaus, 72 SBD and 24 Avgers for the pasting of a lifetime, four more torp and five 1000 pound bombs, bu bye)

2. Any sub hit on a large AP followed by the words TF rescuing......

3. anytime raid comes in and your CAP meets it and so thouroughly smashes it that the follow up air combat screen for bombing has only three zeros or two P--38 buzzing pointless around until they leave

4. Anytime the words CV and Hit Mine appear on the same info line

5. Anytime you bomb a port so badly that docked ships sink

6. anytime a sub shoots at one of you DD's, misses and takes 4 shots in the snout for its trouble

Those are my favorites.....

A cheap one for home use, a low-end color inkjet will do the job quite nicely. Better yet, take the PDF to work and print it there.

well I do have alot of other games on pdf so this will save on the hassle of pulling out the first odd page printing then linning up (flipping) and getting right the even page printing i know that sounds easy but when printing before at work I always managed to screw it up:o besides the 2400 x1200 dpi looks pretty cool i have some hubble images of nebula's that i want to frame an stick on my wall.

Hi Guys:

Have the 960Cse and love it. Prints out digital photo's like a champ as well as fast on letter's, etc.

Good buy for the money these days. Though the color ink refills are not cheap.

Later,

Lrfss

To get a good thread back on topic... :p

1. Any 12 CV brawl where "mission cancelled due to bad weather" happens constantly but never to you.

2. When my SCs get an I-boat.

3. Hittin' 'em where they ain't. A successful fast transport invasion of Cooktown anyone? ("Supplies!" :D)

4. When your doomed strike of 3 medium bombers gets through a 72 plane CAP and scores a hit on a CV.

5. Scoring multiple hits on a sub with aircraft.

I-121 reported HIT...

I-121 reported HIT...

I-121 reported HIT...

I-121 reported HIT...

:D

1. Your SBD lays a 1000 lb bomb on a CV or your Kate throws a torp right into a CV and words "AMMO STORAGE EXPLOSION" appear

2. Any mine hit in an enemy harbor after you've stealthed some mines in

3. Catching a transport TF with an air strike right before it arrives at destination

4. Your bombardment TF arrives at the same time an enemy resupply TF shows up

5. You get the message "Japanese capture Port Morsby base" or "Allies capture Rabaul base"

When the turn is run after my order phase, getting the
message that an enemy ship has hit one of my mines
(one time, 5 ships hit mines) and hearing the explosion
and collision alarm is music to my ears. Mines are my
favorite feature in this game.

JIM BERG, SR.

PS. Even when I get the message that an enemy MSW has
detected mines and is clearing them only to hit a mine itself
is like a symphony :D

1. When you can get up and get a drink when your CAP intercepts a large strike, and when you come back your CAP is STILL recording kills :
"P. Early of VMF-224 records kill number 10" etc. etc. etc.

Greetings, Spending several days/weeks real time making months of UV turns in PBEM games and watching the "Plan" take shape and resolve in the manner you had invisioned.
Understanding your worthy opponents movements and activity as attempts to discover/thwart said plan.

Hi

The best thing about UV? PBEM:)

Also sometimes getting to know your opponent much better is very nice indeed.

quite expensive if I'm not careful.

1. Actually managing to defend one of your bases from invasion (for me it doesn't happen often, but turning 40,000 marines into gruel on Lunga with 20,000 jap troops with loads of guns and fortifications . . .)

2. When your damaged 95 sys CV gets back to noumea or Truk and sent home.

3. Culling off a good enemy admiral.

4. mining Truk so badly by sub that Hiryu gets sent back to Japan on the same day she arrived (was actually my worst moment. I was playing the japs, and had sent all my MSW units home in an effort to muster more VPs worth of CV's and my opponent knew it . . . All those VP points worth of Hiryu sent back home).

I love catching the allies trying to slip supplies in via c-47. Unfortunately, this joy has been diminished since 1.3, but it still it nice to see.
Also, intercepting an enire Surface Combat TF with an AIr combat TF and hitting every ship.
