Playing the scenario "Assault of Hoyerswerda" as the Prussians, I found the game battle very easy to win. Now I am no way even remotely good at tactics and stuff and generally find the AI a challenge everywhere else, but I found that the enemy wasn't up to the fight.
I have read that the AI in this game isn't all that up to much but by god it whipped my ass in "Reichenberg"!
So are there specific scenarios that should really be played as one PARTICULAR side to the other that would give a better account of themselves?
I'm actually going to replay this scenario as the Austrians and see what happens.

Okay, I've just completed this battle as the Austrians.
Losing objective points one by one by an aggressive AI who with a massed cavalry attack crossed the southern bridge and attacked North targetting the Army camp and the town of Hoyerswerda, I decided to make a final stand at my Army Camp south of the aforementioned town with my remaining infantry.
Now when I say "remaining" infantry - during the entire 20 turn battle, I only lost 253 soldiers. My guns were destroyed by turn 7 and my own Cavalry ceased to be an effective force by turn 11.
So from turn 12 I sat with my infantry in my own Army Camp which happened to have the most objective points (200) and waited for the aggressive AI that had previously whipped my butt in the previous 11 turns to envelope my infantry with its mass Cavalry, Infantry and 12 guns.
But...nothing.
Most of the Cavalry were more interested in running what was left of my troopers off the field while the others eyed up my last stand with some trepidation from the town.
The Infantry just walked to and fro or up and down the river without crossing any bridges to get to my side and the Artillery which proved to be SO effective previously just sat in town (on their side of the river) or stayed way back at their original starting positions.
Turn 20 comes along and I get a decisive Victory for my Austrians. 200 Obj Pts and I lost 253 soldiers, 605 troopers and all 4 of my guns.
Prussia lost NO infantry, NO guns and 196 troopers and IICR 140 Obj Pts.
So not a satisfactory state of affairs as the AI goes (even for me) - for this scenario anyhow.
There's a lot more to try though!

Oh,
Well I make this scenario in clear vision of historic background. It should be easy to win for Prussians. Unfortunately there is no many maneuver which I can made with this AI. I can try modify this scenario to make it a little bit harder, or just simply I will change object points.
Glad to heared you like Reichenberg too :)
Wanna join our league?

I generally find it best to play the attacker.  the AI has a difficult time launching coordinate broad frontal (or flank for that matter) attacks.  It can be quite wicked in countering an attack!

(And I agree with PH, you should join the league)

Thank you for your comments, gentlemen. I shall play a few more battles to get up to speed on my tactical acumen and then of course I will consider if I'm good enough to become a competent opponent worthy of a League position.

Who are the British chaps on the North road of the battlefield. They just stand there and - well, drink tea!?
While playing the Prussians the first time I sent some units up North to watch them in case they caused trouble but they stayed still. I thought they were pals of the Austrians you see.

Oh, I update this battle.

Now Prussians infantry should reach the Austrians camp. The 37th unit was delete. I also make some prussians units weaker than the was. From Elite to Crack and from Crack to Veteran.  See http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=2550122

2! I add new one name: Combat of Asch 8.05.1759

That's great PH! I'll try the battle again as both sides and see how I get on.
