Nil. I just sold your story (as printed above) to them as an expurgated second hand version. I explained to them the excitement (albeit short-lived) and the dramatic tension that I experienced whilest reading your post about your brush with near-certain death.

Good news: There will be a made for TV movie about your experiences, as told through my point of view.
Bad news (for you): I receive all royalties.
Good news (for you): You will have a character with a bit role in the production.
Bad news (for you): Your character will be played by Rowan Atkinson.

Really, really bad news: Rowan Atkinson will also play your character in the porno version!

Ok, making headway. Internet in windows and one other driver fixed.

Bad news - still can't use the DVD drive.

Going to keep plugging away to get this stuff fixed. I'm tempted to try and copy the AE disk to my flash drive and install it that way. Don't know if that will work.

Its a SuperDrive - DVD±RW (±R DL) made for Apple. Trying to do a search for Windows drivers on it.

I've tried that. No luck so far. I'll figure it out eventually.

Success!!! AE is up and running (and I'm typing from the windows side right now). I'll start the game this afternoon. Only problem with AE (not AE per se) is no music. Gotta figure that one out eventually along with a couple of minor driver issues. Well, and one major one - still can't get the DVD drive to be recognized.

Congratulations, Major!

LOL, I've never heard the music or any of the sound effects in AE.  Before I ever started it up the first time, I renamed the sound and video folders.

Have you tried this:?

1. Go into device manager
2. Select the External SuperDrive (should have a yellow exclamation mark)
3. Right click SuperDrive, select "Update Driver"
4. Select "No, not this time"
5. Select "Install from a list or specific location"
6. Select "Don't search. I will choose driver to install"
7. Select "USB Mass Storage Device" (do not select External Super Drive)
8. Click Finish
9. Now you will see your optical drive be recognized by Win7, but it is not yet functional. Go back to device manager and select the super drive (probably labeled external optical drive, or perhaps usb mass storage device).
10. Repeat Steps 1-6.
11. When you get back to your choices, now you can select "Apple SuperDrive"

Not as much as mine, since I was there in August and therefore it's less time ago than you. So

Does sharing the bridge of HMS Belfast with three generations of the Palin family (Michael Palin, his son and his grandson) count?

Aye, but I've got the Afghanistan veteran angle. You are just another foreigner coming over here to steal our jobs/houses/air/children/souvenirs/national identity. So

Besides, as the Daily Mail can tell you... Foreigners aren't real people, with their funny names and strange languages and what-not. Who do they think they are, contributing to the British economy like that?

Too late. I've already sent the screenplay to Tom Cruise.

Actually I can only take credit for finding the solution. I've gotten pretty good at researching issues online, refining searches and trying to approach it from a different angle......that led to what i pasted. It was actually a suggested course of action for XP, but i figured it would work for Win7 as well given Device Manager hasn't changed all that much.

My God, I walked over that bridge in September 1987, that was a close-run thing, as I could of been injured and got very wet!

Chapter 11?

"Reorganization" iteration of bankruptcy proceedings. Different 'chapters' for different bankruptcy classifications. Chapters 11, 13 and 7 are most oft cited as an entry level for companies into bankruptcy proceedings. They all treat the process somewhat differently.
