So, who all is going to watch the Olympics religiously this year?

Not me.

Nope, we're leaving for the south of France in 3 hours.

US is on tape delay. Watching BBC live feed at http://atdhenet.tv/45736/watch-olympics-2012-opening-ceremony. Nice to watch the athletes come into the stadium. Pride and excitement on their faces is wonderful to see.

I still will bet you a pint that you'll be manning the crowd barriers before this is all over mate. Everyone's got to do their bit for (Queen) and country, no?

And how am I going to collect this pint that you will owe me in two weeks?

Next time I'm in Englatera or you're in the colonies, let's meet for a pint. First one's my buy. Unless you man the barricades.

Let the weekend begin.
Not much into the summer olympics. I was going to watch some of the women's beach volleyball; until I heard they were going to make them wear burhkas.
I'm more of a winter olympics guy anyway. Can't wait to see the Danish women's curling team. Yum.

Depends on many things. But I love to see the female athletes...

But Blanca Vlasic isn't at London

Had to google that. Is that your taste?

Blue eyes and black hair, yes. But her face usually "wouldn't be mine" as we say in Germany. But she "has something" (also German)...

And I like her nose and lips

Hips? Oh....lips, sorry.

Watching the opening ceremonies. Nik should like it...there's a lot of banging of garbage can lids together.

I really like the opening events.

Incredible about some of the nations that have a HUGE population, but maybe 4-5 competitors. Rather sad I guess.

It's the weekend! Hurrah!

Not sure if I like this whole weekend thing or not, I miss the time off from shift work but the days fly by at the moment as they're a mere 9 hours long.

Good news Martin!

Have you guys settled in in new home?

More or less. The new place is nice and almost under the route of any aircraft doing a flypast of the BBMF hangar. Because it's a bungalow it also means that Josh can (and does) wander back to his room to fetch any toys he wants to play with.

The only downside was a thieving git stealing some of our stuff during the move, at the moment we're trying to get the movers to pay for replacements.

Darn...

Did you, perhaps, take pictures of the stuff (i.e. boxes) before placing them on lorries and after they were handed back to you?

BTW, would it be possible for you to get a ride sometimes in planes you work with?

Now please, beloved host nation, get out of our way for the medal haul...

Sorry to hear about this, Dixie. Hope the movers 'step up' and pay for losses / damages.

No, but they've pretty much admitted it's their fault by advising us to contact the police.

As for riding in the planes, it's a guarantee that at some point I'll be going up with the Dak and Lanc.

Some Olympic stuff. I've sailed with him, and know he knows his stuff.

Hey, Matt, ISAF is going to be on a BBC feed. Don’t know which one, 2 or 3, but they got a K, so somewhere, Bro (Chile, cable 2 or 13, Universitad Catolica or Temuco). Did an interview back in March with Diego and Ben. They just might show it. Anyway, Diego and Ben get fired up for race1 on Wednesday. Yeah, I know they aren’t quite there, but Ben is smarter than most and Diego is a serious ****-hot helm, so maybe some magic can happen.

Only thing I’m afraid of is the start. They haven’t spent their lives on the water in 50 boat fleets, and only hit the Euros for two years, so they might just go ahead and do midline. Weel, that will put them in the pack, but not in position to strike the leaders.

Good for internalization for next time, but this is the Olympics, so they got to put the Winkie on the block. Kill and eat or don’t and die. I think Ben is an exceptional tactician. If Diego can keep his dick in his pocket, these guys could be in the top 10.

Anyhoo, check it out. I’ll be too close to the action and would appreciate a view from the hill.

Think John is over there with his team. So let's look for Diego Parro, and Benjamin Grez, in Men's 470 Class. Go, Chile !!
