I know there are always people who complain about movies not being faithful to books. I can easily enjoy a book for what it is and a movie "based" on a book for what it is, a movie.


For the most part I agree. Then along came Starship Troopers.

Agreed ... but I'll have to admit it had some nice shower shots.


I was waiting for someone to mention that.


OK, maybe I will end up seeing it.

It's a good 'beer and pretzels' sort of bug shoot 'em up. Good special effects and some over the top splatterisms. Combine with some extremely satisfactory shower (and tent love scene) shots and you've got yourself a worthwhile Netflix or rental movie there.
