Don't look at me, those wheels are waaaaay off scale for a start, and they aren't faired. The cockpit is too far back, the wings are too thick, the exhausts look too far forward, the spinner is too far across, the undercarriage legs are too short...

Hard work successfully mocked I'm wondering if I'm a bad person for doing that

G'day, Comrade Red Mouse. Haven't seen as much of you around these here parts lately. You keeping busy at work?

That and WoT. Also my mom developed some health issues that scared the crap out of us for a bit. She seems to be doing fine now.

That's certainly one of the reasons...

Glad to hear your mom is doing better, dude.

Just out of curiosity, what's WoT?

OK, CB, these should give you some idea of what is going on without giving much away to rjopel that he hasn't figured out already...

Thanks for posting nashvillen. I always find it fascinating to see where the battlelines are in the (few)games that make it to 1945. The map tells a great story.

In this case, it looks like a central / southern DEI thrust into the Southern and Central Phillipines was your opponent's focus. I would want to know, if you could do it over again, what would you differently to save Java and Sumatra? How prepared were you in S. Borneo or Mindanao? Anything you'd recommend there? Were his advances by base-hopping with LBA support or by leaping up the island chain with massive amphibious assault?

Thanks again for posting. I'm anxious to get there myself.

My preparations in the SE DEI was not what it should have been and my opponent took advantage of it. This is really my first long term play as the Japanese. I didn't realize until it was too late that I could take N and W Australia so easily. Did better with another game that ended with a capitulation in mid 1942 with no allied carriers left, no Japanese carrier losses, and me romping and stomping throughout the map.

In my discussions with rjopel he attacked where I was weak and just kept going. He started north of Darwin and went NW from there.

My next game will be even better. I know how to defend isolated bases better and when to just give up trying to stop the US Navy "Death Star".

Overall it has been fun and challenging. I guess that is what it is all about!

So, what is correct? I have seen both used: INP or UNP?

Ah! Thread etiquette for spambots! My favorite!

INP=Intentional new page.
UNP=Unintentional new page

I've always wondered.

Thanks CB.

Few more hours of snow. 4"+ so far, wind 21 mph to 28 mph. Then what will the backhand blow give us?

Then I need to edit my page previous to INP, as it was definitely intentional!

Which reminds me, King Spambot ()-if you'd take more time away from the THREAD, it'd give me a great opportunity to catch up again. Not that we wouldn't miss you, but it would have the advantage (for me) of giving me unfettered catch up opportunities on the posting front.

Just a thought.

For you see, soon USS Mike will fall to my spambottiness. He's silly in that he must-you know-value real life over spam. Whatever. I don't think many others are in the rarefied air of 14,000+.

As for the peons...erm...newly visiting bretheren with less than 5,000 posts: welcome, you "Elite". That fourth star and $3.00 will get you a cup of coffee. Now, the FIFTH star...well, we're not allowed to tell you. Or we can tell you, but then we'd have to kill you.

ETA: Crap. Onime has >16,600? That'll take a while.

ETAII: Ack! Leo has >21,000?

Why ripples on the surface of my cup? Is it made out of some gelatinous substrate? How would I drink coffee out of it? Seems a bit daft, what with all the plastic and ceramics out there to make such a cup. But what do I know?

Thread! I really miss playing AE! Torsten has been very patient waiting for me while my schedule has been crazy. Hockey season is almost over.... in 2 more weeks. Then, my son will only have hockey practice for his Spring off season program 2x week.

Combined with my attempts to keep a semi regular triathlon workout training program going, there is very little time left to spend with my wife or help around the house. AE is right behind chores in my To Do list.

I really don't have time for much AE, but even reading about it is making me get antsy to play again.
