Coffee in hand.

Good morning.

Still snowing, but not for long. About 8" to 10" so far. Now comes the digging out process. Blech!

6" on the ground, another 5" before this afternoon. Still coming down. I'll make a dash / crawl in to work and hope for the best. Kids get a rare snow day, so bully for them.

Well, you see that the long winded request for assistance gave the gentleman in the bowler time to tie off the line to the post before throwing the life belt. Had he have responded to the singular cry of "help!" he would have only had time to toss an untethered life ring, leaving the poor lad to drift off to sea...

I see it differently. Clearly, the man in the bowler tied the rope from the post to the dog's collar. Then from the dog's collar to the life ring (it's a life ring, not a life belt, damnit!). The man pleading for assistance clearly gave the gentleman *too* long to think about how to cock up the works with his knot tying.

Result? Dog pulled in and drowned, gentleman in bowler hat dismayed, drowns self in depressive fit, man in need of help bitten by angered dog and drowned.

Shani,

I was going to give you grief about OJ's girlfriend being tried for robbery in NoDak. Until I read that she lives in Moorehead, MN. Never mind.

Clearly the den of iniquity that is NoDak is a corruptive siren call to our young, innocent and impressionable young women.

Morning tithe... Rule number 23; always turn a night on when up at 0300 in the morning, as I suffered a near-fatal toe stubbing at the said time!

WoT is World of Tanks.....that silly thing Dixie et al got me into. Im up to a fully decked out SU-85.

It's a fun diversion, I've got accounts on the EU and North American servers. The US seems pretty deserted whenever I log on though, so I'm going a lot slower over there. I'm also trying to get my first crews up to 100% skill before I move on to level 3.

On the EU I finally managed to get the JagdPanther, the thing is a monster. Shame I'm rubbish at driving it! It's too big to hide like the JagdPz and it takes bloody forever to reload, especially with the 105 cannon (big booms though).

I still prod buttock in the Matilda though One battle, 9 kills and we still didn't win.

Hi all,

Martin?

Don't look at me, those wheels are waaaaay off scale for a start, and they aren't faired. The cockpit is too far back, the wings are too thick, the exhausts look too far forward, the spinner is too far across, the undercarriage legs are too short...

Hard work successfully mocked I'm wondering if I'm a bad person for doing that

So you don't think it could fly?

Leo "Apollo11"

As T said, straight down is an option. Or it could fly, in the same way that I do...by being on an actual aeroplane.

How bizarre, Firefox spellchecker does not recognise the word aeroplane.

Not so bizarre. You clearly misspelled the word 'airplane'.

Which gun are you using on the Matilda?

Or, because I live in England, the nation that invented English I spelled aeroplane correctly because we can cope with slightly complicated words. Those silent letters must be a bugger for you Colonials, I know how you like everything to be spelled phonetically (fonetikly?)

Aeroplane (noun)
A vehicle designed for air travel which has wings and one or more engines.

Aero- of the air or air travel
Plane- from the ancient Greek planos, wandering.

I only know the Greek bit from watching the TV series Planetes

The top 2lb gun. It's got enough penetration to cope with anything at tier 4 and a great rate of fire. The alpha damage is poor, about 50 per shot, but it's possible to spew out shots so quickly that it's like having a machine gun I'm also using vents, gun laying drive and rammer to maximise the strengths of the Matilda and I've got a 100% trained crew who are working towards their second skill.
