I always have a couple of thousand rounds of ammo around the house. Haven't bought ammo for a few years now. Sheesh, I bet a .30-06 round must cost about $1.50 now.
Ding! Now I have to hit Cabela's tonight.

.30-06 never got scarce so I don't think it went up much. In fact none of the "Long rifle" stuff (.300,.270, 8mm, etc) went scarce. Hand gun (esp .38 spec,9mm,380 and most of all .22LR ) disappeared completely ,for a long while. And .223/5.56 went scarce , but cme back at a huge price increase. But if you have .22lr or 9mm you can even trade it for gold!

Hmmm...I'll have to take a look, but there is oodles of ammo up here.

Sounds like I need to drive up there. I'd definately like some 22LR and 9mm.

Steve, we have some of the largest ammunition manufacturers in the country about 30 minutes drive from my house. A couple years ago, I used up a couple personal favors and got an extended tour of the factory floor and test facilities too.

I've never seen a shortage of ammunition, guns or anything shooting-related here.

Yes! By all means drive up. Bring a truck. Stay over, put down a few beers, load up your truck in the morning and return to Nebraska.

Not that much to say. It's all about picking up pieces of broken BBs and sending eleventy gajilion SSs to sea.

Also, The Penguin (being the Japs) dictated the system settings regarding upgrades and replacements, so I had to futz around with those too. Took some time.

I think we have about 1000 rounds of .22LR for Alex's rifle. Maybe we should sell it now, and buy it back at half price in 6 months or so.

Good Morning all...I am hoping to start a new routine. "AE" in the morning with coffee.

Maybe it will help my waist line.

Ha! Sounds like the times when I was a kid where entrepreneurs would drive from Baltimore down to SC to buy fireworks, and then sell them out of the trunk of their cars the week before Independence Day.

That stinks, if they were left set "On". Even after you get everything on map set the way you want, all the reinforcements come onto the map set to "On".

When the school year ends in a week or so, I hope to have time to resume my game with Historiker. My self imposed rule will be no AE until I've completed at least one triathlon workout that day.

However, no matter what time of day, AE is always more enjoyable with coffee.

I like yours, too! Pipe dream for me. Here at my place of business layoffs are the topic of the hour. I now have 6 functions to do simultaneously. IT sucketh anymore. Plus, it really cuts down on my forum time.

Apart from the fact I haven't been able to get time to sort the turn lately...

It's going well. We took Manila without a fight and we're in early Feb now, Palembang is in Japanese hands and the Japs are in Singapore which should fall fairly soon.
