Hmmm, the conspiracy theorist in me is intrigued. Obviously this is an attempt by Matrix to draw more traffic into the less frequented parts of the forum to drive up sales.

P.S. It is in the AE sub forum, just inside another subforum (the tech support one) where it isn't the top topic.

Ahh... I see. I don't go there but once or twice a day usually.

I see the fake ID thread got nabbed by the AE Port Authority. I believe Sgt. Friday and officer Gannon are in the interrogation room now. Ouch.

I'm considering getting a fake North Korean passport. Must be INCREDIBLY useful.

Might be fun at my next "Cold War Victory party". I wonder if they can get me one by October?

You're far too fun a guy with a good sense of humor to be a 'good' North Korean, Steve. You'll never be able to pull it off convincingly.

Weekend - Tithe.

Still no internet at the apartment, so see you clowns on Monday.

Have a good weekend. Going to be hot here, into the 90's for the next several days. That's enough to kill your average NoDak.

Home, in the air conditioning, with my favorite beverage in hand. All I have to do this weekend is start teaching my daughter to drive... No big deal, right?

Thinking of you guys-Per and T:

I just stopped by the liquor store on the way home from work. 1.75l bottle of Svedka for $14.99. What is that-11 Euros? I'm guessing that you'd pay 2-3 times that for your own home grown stuff. No matter, I'll raise a glass for y'all in your absence.

I didn't know there were any "average" NoDaks? As anybody knows, in Minnesota, all the kids are above average.

So the Penguin said some turns back that all the easy points were gone for him. Now he's landed on Attu and Shemya.

He's probably right-about the easy points bit. There may be a few other places wherein he can trap your forces for the VPs, but the 'big bag' targets drop off quickly after Ceylon, IMO.

Where are you time-wise?

THE THREAD is open to everyone who doesn't take themselves too seriously. We try not to discuss politics and religion because those topics tend to kill off friendships.

Also, no pictures of naked or semi-naked people. That got the first THE THREAD locked.

Place where people don't give a rat's how many posts they got, but who have become friends. It's a place one can come into and unwind. It's a place where the collective rules, so learn what our boundaries are. We ain't bad, we ain't good, but we are very personal and particularistic, and we are utterly OT, on a good day. This is where we talk to one another.

Hell yes, you can play. Except ya gotts to know the rules (such as they are). C'mon in, say hi, engage; good people here and worth talking to.

Ciao. JWE

Just last week, Pax. It's probably available online-it's about Tsushima.
