BTW, Andre, the new house will be just a long 3 iron from the restaurant where we had dinner a while back.

I may be coming to your neck of the woods next month, dude. I'll get back to you with specifics...

Two extremely busy working days left before having 7 in a row off. I am thinking I might kill a bit of that "vacation" time by buying a house and moving, or something.

Schani and I are in a very intense Rising Sun JTCS game at the moment.. lots of action.. armor, inf, AT guns, artillery. He has me running and digging in to save my life.

He sends me the turn this morning confused about my units.

Marc - What do you have in my rear area? Never mind, I don’t want you to answer that.

Thanks, Marc! Things are shifting from the major stress of variables I can't control, to the stress of 100,000 little things on my ToDo list!

My last and final move was November 2008. Got to get started before closing. Timing was everything. Three straight days of fall rains; then the waiting for the ground to dryout. Deer hunting. Finished the day before Thanksgiving and the winter snows arrived. That was a close one. Whew.
My labrador was a little stressed during the move. He couldn't go anywhere without having one particular stuffed animal with him at all times. Once the couch went into the living room he seemed to get the idea and appeared more relaxed.

Hey, Schanilec, or somebody,

A new detail place opened up just down the road and it's run by a Czech, Michal Malos. He doesn't speak English very well, but communicates nicely. I was looking to just make the Jeep righteous, but he showed me what he was doing to a Lexus and I was impressed. The price he quoted was astonishingly reasonable. He is in the wilderness of rural Alabama and has taken on a few of our cultural eccentricities; he keeps calling me Mister John. So I want to show him the same respect. How would one address him? "friend", "brother", "mister", in Czech? I want to show him I'm a grateful customer who will make the effort, just as he does. Suggestions? JWE

Just a good greeting will do fine. These are not the correct spellings but try this.

Yuksomosh: basically hello, how are you.

The reply.

Dobrae: basically I'm fine.

Find out where is from in Czechoslovakia. And go from there.

I'm third generation and that is about all I remember now a days. My aunts know Bohemian but don't use it much and forgotten most of the language. Really haven't heard it much since I was a kid and also have forgotten most of what I knew. Dad and my grandparents are gone now, they used to converse quite a bit. There some north of here that still speak it quite well.

And by the way. Who left the forum doors open? Now there are Bombing the Reich critters running around in WitP-AE.
You know how hard it is goingto be to get rid of them? Whatever you do; don't feed them, or we'll never get rid of them.
Maybe we could cut the Gorn loose. That oughta do it.
Good night all.

He's from ourside Brno. It blew hin away when I said hi in Czech. He has some German, as do I, and some Russian, as do I, so we went off to a corner and nattered at one another. All I wanted was to have the Jeep detailed and waxed. Instead, I found a friend. Thanks Schanilec. JWE

Not to hijack..but is that what Borat is saying all of the time when he greets someone? To me, it sounds like he has been saying "yazhamesh"? is that it, but actually spelled the way you spelled it?

Thanks.

evening from Aussie land

See there was conversation on the whoopee weed
Never touched the stuff.

I was interested to learn however, (from one who indulged heavily, and who i work alongside of)that when I was the Charge on my DDG, virtually every single senior sailor, and nearly all of the juniours were indulging

And I was so niave I never even suspected

Even when one of my boilers "somehow lost its water level"
(I now know the entire watch was asleep, stoned)

Kristian, Dude

Long before Great Britain sent her bog-trotting Irish trash, and thieves, cut-purses, cuthroats, harlots, destitute and beggars, to Australia, she sent them to America, mostly to Georgia (sorry canoerebel).

Way, way, back in the day, when Ted Turner was sailing Tenacious to every singly win there was, and about the time he was defecating on that pathetic AC Mariner hull/keel design, Australia made him an honory citizen. Australians know their history and knew Ted came from Goergia. So they made a hangman's noose and put it on Ted's neck. And he wore it through the whole ceremony because he too was descended from hardened criminals.

Ciao. John
