In the pro leagues, I'm looking forward to seeing the Nashvillen and Fodder tyrannies against one another this week. Both have at least 5 starters out on bye.

Trade offers enthusiastically entertained, gentlemen.

With the anemia in your rosters, looks like you've both caught the Chickenboy scourge.

NO, no I'm not. I just tried to piece together a team and came up short.

This game could be called the battle of the unwanted players.

What a fowl place this Thread has become! Anemic roosters, all kinds of penguins, and a Chickenboy crapping all over the place. This Thread literally is for the birds!

Just looked at your team. I thought I had it bad. Good luck, you will need it. But, don't take all of mine while you are at it!

After the disappointment of yesterday not being Wednesday, I am pleased to confirm that actual Wednesday was less of a let down. Not a great day, but at least adequate I still have no idea why I thought yesterday was Wednesday when I woke up, why I was so pleased that I thought it was or why I was so disappointed when I realised it wasn't.

Kind of a good morning... My MRS (Multi-role Shuttle for you non Star Fleet Battles types), a sto-n-go Grand Caravan is in the shop. They were supposed to have it done last night, but not to be... So, without wheels and dependent on my lovely wife to drive me around, that is not bad, other than I am stuck at work for lunch...

The nice thing is my wife teaches at a local community college that has an auto-repair program and staff there can get their vehicles worked on for $5.00 plus parts. Supervision is by a certified auto-technician (the instructor or a senior student with some certifications already) and the history of repairs with them is most excellent. So, I guess I can be patient when I am getting the engine cooling system replaced after a catastrophic water pump/radiator failure from a bad harmonic balancer and tension pulley. Just of half a G in parts, would have been much more if I had it taken to a shop where past students are now working for pay instead of an education!

Will be OFF THREAD for a couple of days. Stay well friends.

Good night

Later dude...

You going to the Falklands in your couple day sojourn?

No Falklands, no penguins

... but we had our students on a "staff ride exercise" discussing estimates and different tactical solutions in a common scenario and in the relevant terrain. Gamed some of those solutions vs each other, creating moments somewhat like these.

Good thing about being sent off on that exercise on short notice was that got the day off tomorrow as compensation

Bad thing about being sent off on that exercise on short notice was that I, in the packing hurry, forgot to pack my long johns

Weather is still very warm for being in late October, still around +10C. Not a snowflake in sight yet, which is rare.

Still, it was cold and windy enough to literally freeze my arse off, think I got a cold coming.

... and while I'm at it ...
