Honestly, fodder, I can appreciate preserved militaria from any nation, regardless of their postwar practices for dealing with obsolescent / redundant ships.

Look at this I got a threefer. Yeah know what, I would think anyone who hangs around here (not to mention any names Chickenboy) would know I made my comment looking to see what reaction I would get out of a certain thread lurker. (not to mention any name warspite1)

If cash was not an issue, I would have bought the models.

So me and my buddy Louis and his uncle Beaudreau are in this bar in Beaumont. The bourbon is flowing and Beaudreau's teeing off on Aggies.
"Oh yea, I got tis Aggie joke dat's jus ..."
Bout then the next guy down the bar pulls back and says "I'm from A & M, and my brother (the next guy down the bar pulls back, bigger than the first) is from A & M and my cousin (and the next guy down the bar pulls back, bigger than the first two) is from A & M, and we'd like to hear your joke."
Beaudreau just burps, scratches his crotch, "No, I don tink I tell my Aggie joke ... take too long time to splain it tree times."

There's some who think Louis' uncle Beaudreau is kinda backward. But that is wrong. He's just as modern as any of us. In fact, just last year, he invested in a brand new motorized chain saw. He was disappointed, however and went back to the store;
"Hey now, you say I can cut fibe corda wooda day wit dis ting, an I cain cut no mo dan tree cord, an what up wit dat?"
So the guy says lemme see, and pulls the cord - whuppata, whuppata, wurrrrmmmmm !!
Beaudreau freak; "Hey now, whut dat noise??"

And with all due respect to Mat Norton and those wonderful folks in College Station, Louis' uncle Beaudreau did pull a boner before his Aggie joke. It was one of those moments where we had to grab chairs and bottles and get rowdy. Beaudreau was waxing enthusiastic on Texas, and especially on A & M. He was saying "dey ain nuttin in wes texas but ugly wimmin and football players."

Well obviously someone hears this and says, "I'm from Odessa and my wife is from College Station."

Beaudreau say, "Ooh, dat nice; whut pozishun she play?"

It was an insane start, yes.

Crazy game too. Most one-sided Superbowl I've ever seen.

I amm showing my age, I remember the 49's / Broncos game, and the the Redskins / Broncos game. When Denver loses, at least they are consistent

A lot of people throwing themselves off the cliffs in Colorado.

I was cheering for the Bronco's; but midway into the second quarter I found myself catching up on my reading. I looked up at the screen every now and then, shook my head and turned the page.

Ok, you've "some" more games than me then

Swedish TV channels started airing NFL games regularly just some ~10-15 years ago.

Late morning start here. Kids were set for 2 hours later due to the threat of ice on the roads. So, I stayed up later than usual, working on my Fletcher. 95% of the mast is done. started on the midships deck house (where the stacks are). Left it there. Probably won't get to do anymore on it for a couple of days with the family schedule.
