Looks like we're in for some more nasty winter weather this evening through Thursday. More ice than snow this time.

I laugh at your attempts to break us with cold. I dare you to try to get an inch of snow here! That is the challenge! We have gone all winter without any measurable snowfall here in Murfreesboro, TN. Everyone around us has had some, but not us. So, the gauntlet is laid down, Mr. Winter (Schanilec)

My relatives in San Antonio were posting pictures of the "record" snowfall they received last week. Yessirree...0.3 inches. Surprised they weren't calling out the National Guard.

-16F here this morning whilest walking the dog. Didn't I post something like this over a month ago? What did we-lose a war?

And...I'm back, after suffering a bug.  I blame Term, I think he gave us cooties

Here in Colorado they are calling it a 4 wire snow.  The mountains got several feet of new powder last week.  Sking is just awesome

I'm having a hard time staying awake.  Olympics are interesting this year!  Work, flu, olympics...no time for a nap

Some snow expected here not much. But blizzard like conditions expected. I see warming to the 20's in the near future. Heaven.

Stupid C-47 tithe.

Technically, isn't that a "Stupid Dakota tithe"?

Nope.

Technically, the technical manuals all refer to the C-47. The manufacturer's data plates all say C-47. She was delivered as a C-47 to the RCAF, iirc the RAE operated her as a C-47. So she's a C-47, stupid thing doesn't deserve a name anyway.

Besides, I am led to believe there are no good Dakotas...

The mathematician in me cringes, but funny nonetheless. Where did you find that? In the Schanilec home movies? Or in North Dakota Common Core?

Someone sent it to me a few years back. I googled 'Ma & Pa Kettle math' a few days ago. Ma & Pa Kettle - classic movies.

Hi Ya'll. Valentine's Day is coming and ... Flowers. Not the usual roses stuff but a nice arrangement that goes onto the table. One of those where a guest, or your cousin, says whoa! now that's nice ! and what are those big pink things? my mom had those in her garden when I was a kid.

Kinda stuff that makes your sweetie or your mom appreciate your thoughtfulness and innovation. So instead of roses, give her a centerpiece; and then ... Just IMHO

We've had 5 inches of snow on the ground for over a week. Very unusual for Kentucky. Although cold as heck, the roads have been good the whole time. Glad I'm not in Atlanta.

I wanted to type you a letter just saying hey and catching up. I didn't want to send one without the other, and I have just been lazy and can't find the time.

It will go out this weekend.

No worries, Jeff. I get almost as much mileage razzing you about it as I will out of the beer itself. That's the way it *should* be with all such bets, IMO.
