I sail. I teach sailing. I run a sailing school for Olympic hopefuls in Chile. Have to keep my card filled, and be righteous in the International community. Went to the Open Russian Finn Assoc Championships. In the US, I’m a senior, but they don’t recognize that. It’s Open or Junior. It's either sail or be be a boy. Oh fff...fargo, them's fighting words. Me and I scarfed a JibTech ((Lemieux) hull and went with a C-tech mast set from NZ, and sails from Doyle. Goddam, the boat was sweet, sail and mast combo was my nickel, but it was always right there. Ok, I was 22nd out of 48. Not bad for a 65 year old fat man Just think Shetlavin .. or perhaps, Dmitri Shabanov, or Goergii Shayduko. And then there was Vladzimir Yelecich, and Elena Oblova, and the incomparable Ekaterina Skudina. Elena Suyuzeva is not bad and has the look of eagles. Oh. my goodness. Just being somewhere like this is such a thrill. To meet these incredible sailors and compete with them head to head is byond belief. Woof !!. JWE
