Scratch one Slava! I'm guessing that it won't be cost effective to fix. One of the strange facets of the Soviet/Russian ship building industry is that it's usually far easier for them to build a new ship rather than upgrade or repair an existing ship. The Slava's definitely worried the USN/NATO when they came out in the 80's.

What "nonsense"? Everybody deserves to be "King for a Day". Besides , it's my way of showing just how much some people are neglecting THE THREAD!!!. Not so long ago , that would have been gone in less than an hour , let alone the better part of two days!

Perhaps. But you were "King" for 5 days. Totally unacceptable. Down with the King!

We got 5 inches of the white stuff. Significantly less than anticipated. Still, an unwelcome early dumping.

Speaking for myself. I've been stopping by regularly. I'm just over medicated and can't remember how to read, write or sign in most days. I do like looking at the pretty pictures.

How can someone be 'over medicated'?

Anywho, just for you

And BTW, now you have to identify the plane

Hint, it's a Japanese float plane, and from WWII

Honestly I don't know. I think it's a Jake, it's a 3 seat float plane in the Solomons. I'm kicking around trying to find more info on it

Purty. Seems as though the stubby F4F wings wouldn't provide sufficient lift with those big ole' honkin' pontoons below.

Good Morning, Cold, 32F this morning and something white is coming from the sky... It is only the second week of November, this isn't supposed to happen until January, normally.

Hey CB, you do live up there in the frozen tundra ya know. Personally I love the cold weather/snow, but then again I'm a freak. When I retire if I move from my current local (and I would like to) it will be to the north.
