Good morning all. Not a single flake of snow on the ground. Could be a brown Christmas.

It's official, I don't have to step back into work until next year. Doesn't mean I won't be watching some processes during this period of time, but I can do it in whatever state of dress I choose and anytime I choose. So, not so bad...

I bought This War of Mine in the Steam sale.

So far it's been good, my first attempt ended after heavy fighting closed down access to large chunks of the city, so the safe areas were picked clean of materiel. Eventually I had to risk going to the more dangerous areas where Marko, my best scavenger, got badly wounded, of course the hospital was in a combat area so I had to use my stash of bandages to heal him. Whilst he was on the mend my second scavenger Pavle got killed before Marko recovered enough to resume his duties. Marko promptly got shot up by a sniper leaving me with a depressed chef (Bruno) and a man who couldn't leave the building so I gave up and restarted.

This time it's going better, so far anyway. It's not been without occasional moments of drama and despair but certainly better than before.

I think all chefs in the RN are depressed, At least judging by the food they produced.

The chef's course is the hardest in the RAF. No-one has ever passed it.
