California girls high school basketball coach suspended after 161-2 victory

A Southern California high school basketball coach has been suspended and faces accusations of mercilessly running up the score after his team won a game 161-2, one of the most lopsided scores in state history.

Apparently scores that bad are not unheard of. I do not get why the coach is suspended. He kept his starters out in the second half and had his players hold the ball until the end of the shot clock. At some point you have to quit apologizing for being good.

Yeah, I held back on reaching conclusions because news articles are so often egregiously wrong, but it sounds like they are being horses' butts.

Sunday morning tithe...cup of coffee and some Witp. I ask you does it get better than this?

I started up a game against the AI to get familiar (again) with the game controls and mechanics. Hoping to start up a PBEM in a couple of weeks. Question: I have to run the game in window mode to get to some of the controls. I still cannot see the industry controls at the very bottom of the screen. As an allied player is this a problem. Pre-AE I just kept the industry on auto pilot realizing that eventually I would have more than I ever needed.

Slept in until after 10, fed the dogs and cats, made a pot of coffee, my wife is still sleeping, and I have a turn waiting for me. No, Chris, it doesn't get much better than this.

BTW, I've never played the Japanese side yet, mostly due to limited play time to begin with, but I've never needed the industry controls that I can remember as the Allies. I do still play in windowed mode, as I love to have my spreadsheet and tracker more easily accessible while AE is running. On my 1920x1080 monitor, I have AE set to run in a 1440x900 window. Still nice and big with room outside the window to jump to the other apps.

I've had a hard time getting into DW.  I guess you have to completely immerse yourself into that one.

It seems hard for me to track money, resources, etc.

I guess I'll find out soon enough. I like the genre, and the interface seems a bit cluttered but cool at the same time. It was a no risk venture for me, as I won it in the Matrix Basic Fantasy Football league championship.

Oh, I love the genre.  It does take almost a WITP level of commitment to dive into.

I've kinda been on a wargame buying spree lately, buying War in the West and Command: Modern Naval/Air Ops.  I've hardly touched WitW yet (one never simply dives into a Grigsby game...), but have been having fun with the latter.  Stopping the all-out nuclear assault on the west coast has me intrigued.

Command was the other option I considered for my prize. I honestly don't have time to do any game justice other than trying to keep my AE PBEM game with Historiker going. I have previously won War in the East, GG's World at War: A World Divided, and Harpoon Ultimate Edition. Sadly I've done nothing with them except test the installer to make sure the serial number and download are working. They are on my "to play one day" pile.

Right then. Morning, you lot. A moment respite during our house showings-so I reckon I'll flip a long overdue turn back to Steve-o.
