I’ve just watched the BBC documentary Scotland: Rome’s Final Frontier – which looks at the three Roman invasions of Scotland and at the forts and settlements they abandoned when they gave up. It can be watched or downloaded on the BBC iPlayer website for the next couple of days. Link.

    Finally getting round - thanks to Commander The Great War - to watching the BBC series The Great War. Just seen the first two episodes of twenty-six. Brilliant! Incredible footage of the events of almost 100 years ago.
