Saxony, GER :)

funny how many germans are into this. Guess its the obsession with micromanaging things. Guess thats also why the X and Anno Series are so succesful here. We need the OCD'ism ;)

I wonder if Germans in general are simply into 4x games more than most? I've noticed in the Birth of the Federation community, folks from the Deutchland seem to outnumber all other nationalities combined! (Fortunately, they still speak English for the sake of us poor Yanks, Canadians, & Brits.)

The wish to conquer the world? To conquer the universe?... perhaps something genetically.
But you all know we were not very successful with such things (Last war lost before Wernher von Braun made it possible for us to invade Alpha Centaurie). So we learned to prefer wars which we can save and reload.
The advantage is that at the end we dont live in ruins.

Got a number of mates from Deutschland. They all love action RPGs and Space Strategy games. None of them play FPS and they drink too much beer. Way more than the scots.

But we have a good reason for that. In Germany we have about 5000 sorts of beer from around 1200 Breweries. It needs some time to try them.
Great Britain for comparison have something like 90 and the French, as friends of wine, only 25 breweries

The day of the beer in Germany is every Year the 23.April. Its the day of the "Reinheitsgebot" from 1516, a law which regulate which ingredients are only allowed to brew beer with.

In my home city we brew "Becks beer". One of the famoust beers of the world.

Southern California -- where someone sees an alien every week or so...

Aliens? That is outright strange. Nothing like here where every week or so there IS a Bigfoot sighting...

Speaking of Sasquatch, did I mention the in-laws were visiting this week?

The horror ... the horror ...

Hey! You're from Missouri. I like Missouri. I remember driving to Missouri from Kansas, and as soon as we crossed the state line there was a big frakkin' sign that said "Guns, Ammo, Liquor, Pawn."

Yeah, round here we think the ATF should be a convenience store.

BTW, I like your screen name. I played D&D before it was cool.

And I played it after it was no-longer-cool. We both missed the golden age!

Canadian. In the bustling metropolis of Ridgetown, Ontario, pop. 3000. Just north of Lake Erie.
