It would be really cool if there were some way I could transfer just the RR Engineers to the next higher HQ and leave all the other SU's
right where they are. Higher HQ's are usually the ones we park on rail junctions just to get the railroad fixed faster. But I can't think of
an easy way to do it. Maybe if we could get some of those " [ X ] " symbols on the far right side of the window that we could click on to
get the SU reassigned to the next higher HQ or maybe go all the way back to the pool(s). Just a thought.

Well into the blizzard now, I believe?

Construction and engineer/sapper units are handled a bit funny in the automated process. You can try moving any in Stavka to a front HQ, if that's where you want them to end up.

Yes, and it's delicious.

But if they are in an Army HQ and I need to move them to a Front HQ I guess the only way to do that is disband them in the Army HQ and move them from STAVKA after buying them or just buy them in the Front HQ. Thanks for your input though.

This is not good... darn...

If you need the saved game here it is for the Axis side in T23:

Larry, we are now treating this as two possible issues....

Please save the savegame files from those turns (i.e. turns where German AI abandoned the Leningrad and left whole area south of Leningrad undefended) - I will let you know when / if we need them - thanks in advance!

Hi all,

Larry we would need the Axis auto savegame in turn where Axis AI abandons the Leningrad and removes the German units from the south of Leningrad and leaving gap in line...

Do you, hopefully, have those?

You might want to bomb those hexes with German rail repair units in them.

Armaments pool dried up the last few turns.  Building too many support units?

Good idea. I'll get right on it.

I've been building support units like they are going out of style. Now my divisions will be formidable. I hope.

Here's a picture showing the number of SU's per HQ. Admittedly there's no need for 3 SU's per HQ, so I changed the support level
to 2 per HQ. Maybe that'll flush the extra SU's back up to STAVKA where I can disband about 1/3 of them.

Turn #14:

Larry, did Axis AI ever try to attack northern Leningrad HEX and take it (after it took the southern Leningrad HEX in turn #14)?

Without that Finns are not released...

BTW, can you post Axis savegame from turn #15 (i.e. the first turn after AI took southern Leningrad HEX)?

No, you don't want to disband the SU's just yet, because if you create them again you lose out on whatever experience they gained early on.

What you can do is set some to 50% TOE, the ones you don't expect to see fighting soon. As time passes and the German AI attacks less you'll have lower losses and the armaments factories will catch up.

Nope, they only took the Leningrad hex and no more. In fact, after a turn or two they evacuated Leningrad so I could reoccupy it.

Here's the T15 axis save game:

Larry, this is a basic question coming from an inexperienced Soviet player. I have been following this from the start and should have asked 25 turns ago but- early on, few turns, do you start assigning divisions from the Corps HQ to an Army HQ?
Really, this is also open to any player who has an opinion on this.

I generally don't; there's never enough APs early on, and the corp HQs will disappear on their own.

Keep asking these salent questions. That's the only way to get an answer. I seldom have enough AP's in the early turns to get some divisions assigned from the Corps HQ to an Army HQ. Plus as RandallW says below, they usually dissappear on turn 5 or 6 or so.

I quite agree. I even hesitate to assign any SU's to them unless I know the Army HQ it's assigned to can use the SU's. Otherwise I've been known to disband them early. Those in the Pripet marshes are on their own. I don't even use any rail cap. to rail them out of
danger. I suppose one of two of them might have a superior leader and disbanding them frees up the leader for re-assignment to a
more deserving Army HQ.

I assume you have been spending all of your APs for support units (building like they are going out of style). I also assume not for any infantry divisions?
So what have you been building? (in general, not asking for a specific count)
