12/30/41 One of my Dutch subs put a fish into Chokai near Malacca. I have some troops trapped there and I have been attempting to supply them. He's done a perfect job so far in stopping me, so I'm glad he had to pay a price. I still am getting reports of 3 CVs milling around south of Wake. I think I know what they're doing there. The last time we played we had a back and forth battle of invasion and counterinvasion there and towards the end my carriers got involved. He may be hoping for a confrontation that he can win. By the way, he did finally capture Rabaul on the 28th. I hope to punish him for that soon. Rangoon fell on the 29th, but it was unoccupied. I have the belief that a defense of Burma is untenable, so I hightailed it out of there as soon as I could. This of course has a substantial drawback for the Chinese.

1/3/42 Two days ago two of my MLs scared off a TF consisting of PB SC SC from Malacca where they were trying to prevent resupply. Yesterday one of my HDMLs accomplished the same feat against the same TF (I believe). Nonetheless between surface units and Bettys he's managed to stop any supplies getting in. One of the Dutch subs there put a torpedo in Chokai though, and that has to hurt.

Review December 1941
Points- More use of mines on both sides

Land
Captured most of Boreno, Some of New Guinea, Kavieng, Rabual, Rangoon. Still need to capture Hong Kong (fell early Jan), Wake.
Troops at Chengchow, Changsha. Cut 9-12 untis from Singapore and they are holed up in Malacca- I am stopping supply atm and my troops are closing in to finish them off.
My attention now turns to the DEI, Battles in the Phillipines.- See Geoffs Screen shots

Air
Air battles over Changsha- AVG rolled in got some kills on Oscars and only 1 on a Tojo but for it I would suspect 30 loses for 5-8 most of which were the Nates earlier on
Ar Battles over Billiton- No losses for 20+ fighters and 20+ bombers
Otherwise bombings of AFs etc. Allied planes withdrew back quickly

Naval
Allied ship losses 122+ except for PH and Singapore the rest are AKL, AK, HDML etc. I did hit a few AO/TK/AP/AS fleeing from the Philippines- I got alot of the ships fleeing from the Philippines.
Some Allied subs were sunk while they were in there wolf packs hunting my ports
My losses fairly low for the month

1/10/42 Two days back, Malacca fell. I don't have the casualty figures (I'm sure vontiger will post them soon) but they were awful.
I don't think I'll be showing you anything he doesn't pretty much know already.
