A few more days to the action. In the Solomons it is relatively quiet now...

Mersing costed my two ships, but now at least I don't have to pull back units from Singapore to intercept the British partizans

By blocking the railroad the British troops have stalled the Japanese offensive quite a bit. A good tactic to remember for my next game as the Allies

My cap really sucked today and was unable to shoot down many of the British torpedo bombers despite good odds. Anyway we have a foothold on Sumatra.

Pfff. Vildebeest III bombers scored several hits on my battleships This could have ended very bad.
Fortunately on the CL Jintsu was sunk and the others are still battle ready.

I shock-attacked at Palembang and it was aweful. Any tips for keeping damage to oil fields and refineries? I'm expecting that this is going to cost me...

This was bound to happen at some point. Unfortunately my scouts didn't pick up the US carriers. Otherwise I would have moved some more Zero's and Betty's to Rabaul.

Due to fog of war and the many reports of ships that sank/not sank and sank again, I've no clue what floats and what doesn't float. And just like in the real war, LGEN Imamura's ship sank and he had to swim. The 16th Army main unit has been destroyed and will return later. LGEN Imamura is still in the database and will resume command later on. For now some MGEN has taken over command of the 16th Army/2 unit...

When I move in my carriers like this, I typically loose a couple of them. Bad weather, misorganization and bad luck destroyed my chances today. Let's hope I get another shot tomorrow. There are hardly any targets for the US carriers anyway. Now I'd rather have them staying for a couple more turns...

I need more troops at Java to close the deal. Also at Sumatra by the way. The British garrison at Singapore is cracking freeing up the 25th Army soon. At least the number of submarines hitting my ships has decreased and also the Allied bombers are gone after a couple of good bombardments by KB.

Here are some charts of aircraft and engine production. I'm currently mainly ramping up engine production. Aircraft production will follow later. Also note that I'm not going to build any LBs except for the Ki-51 which will be a trainer. I won't build many Lily's and instead will focus on the Helen. I'm building Nates until its engines are out. These will be trainers as well. I'm not building the G3M2, but will build quite a lot of G3M3's.
