Sorry - did I say pedestrian? I meant $%^&

Warspite1-I don't follow your 'football' at all, but you've finally touched on a sentiment that I believe I concur with. As do all Americans.
Warspite1

Hello CB. Well I think that statement clearly confirms that Americans DO understand football.

Really bad press recently but it should be handled seriously because otherwise it will just be seen as a cover up. Authorities need to take it seriously. Problems might not be as bad as some claim but that does not help the perception if those in charge just claim that there never has been any trouble at all.

With that said I think it will be a very nice and fun party around the championships and I do look forward to it.

If you do not know what I am writing about then feel free to just ignore this post. Thank you.

Sort of but mostly about why he said it.

Well we'll see what happens, but let's hope that sort of nonsense doesn't surface.....

Belgium have some really good players - for the first time since the 80's they have th nucleus of a really good team. We have loads of injuries so it should be a tough one....

Well deserved yellow card for the Belgium player. That was a cowardly push and why play so dirty in a friendly game?

Edit: Hopefully Cahill was not to badly injured.

All a bit unnecessary and England really don't need another injury....

Early doors, but I like the look of the left back we are hoping to sign.

I suspect that might be one of the best ways to win championships. Play dull and safe.

Indeed.

England plays as Roy Hodgson wants very well. Or at least that is how I recall that his teams played.

I feel that 3 points for correct score is to much compared to 1 for correct result.

Getting correct score in one game and wrong result in two games would give the same points as getting the correct result in all three games. And I feel that the getting the result rights in all three games should be awarded more points than just getting one score right..

All a bit unnecessary and England really don't need another injury....

Early doors, but I like the look of the left back we are hoping to sign.

How is the status for the injured players?

Warspite1

Cahill is out - double fracture of the jaw - Terry is being re-assessed on Tuesday.

Roy has called up a hardly (once?) capped player - Liverpool fullback (whose name I cannot even recall and who played 10 games last season) rather than Rio Ferdinand - which is proving a little controversial.....
