The magic of the FA Cup lives on. Lincoln City beat Premiership Burnley to reach the quarter finals of the FA Cup!!!

Mind you, they will have to go some to beat Tottenham's record.

1901 as a Southern League side - we only went and won the thing

Wouldn't it be sad to kind of share that?

It would be more than worth it if they beat Chelsea or Arsenal or Manchester United in the final though

I think it is about time that the FA Cup came home, don't you think?

You going to Fulham?

Indeed.

Although currently I have mixed feelings about Man U. Somehow I want to see them succeed.

Its been way too long for a club that considers themselves a top club. To be honest they way we played against City, Liverpool, Genk - even Middlesbrough - recently makes me think another cup shocker could be on the cards.

Will this have any effects for Burnley? Is their manager safe?

None at all. Sean Dyche has done a great job there. Although one of the famous old names of English football, Burnley have been out of the limelight for years. They are the smallest town to have had a team in the Premiership (with all that means for fanbase) and Premiership survival is the all important target.

Indeed.

I have noticed how well they have performed in the league. At least when comparing to my expectations.

However, I wasn't sure how the fans and owners would take such a loss.

Is Burnley owned by the members or is it a private owner?

I don't know to be honest. As far as I know they are not foreign owned - and not owned by their supporters.

We won the cup match with 1-0. We scored after 3 minutes. And then it was a big *yawn* for the rest of the match. They had no real scoring opportunities. We had the ball most of the time but no scoring opportunities either. All in all pretty good for a season opener.

But their team was sort of rubbish. 10 out of their 11 starting players were new to the club for this season. How well can you play then?

Unbelievable

You tell me the thing below happened and I inmediately call the two guys with the funny jacket with extremely long sleeves.

"Chelsea supporters do not forget what I did and in my opinion Claudio did even more for Leicester. What he did there was bigger than all of the titles I won at Chelsea"

Good luck Claudio. You didn't deserve this.

and er, Mr M., yes, that IS the spirit. You can do it, don't worry.

Read that Crystal Palace "fans", although I feel sick to call them fans, doesn't recognize their own.

Football is a stupid game and a waste of both time and energy.

Indeed. A 3-0 loss. Although it was a even game until they scored halfway into second half. Then the last few minutes they were allowed to counter in a couple of extra goals.

But my main frustration with football is that it still the cheaters that win. Watching the big, international, games these days just makes me angry, or sad. But since its been that way for a long time is proof that they want it that way. Corruption and cheating all around. And with the coming world cups to improve the fun. Oh yay. Great times to be a football fan.

Thanks. We play Southport at home on Saturday and then Woking at home on Tuesday. Could really do with six points from those two games and I think we have a good chance of getting just that.

Best wishes,
Steve
