Operation BEAT DOWN continues. It appears that the Allies are down to just 2 P-40's for a CAP. Maybe Jim is saving the rest of them
for the "final days", or they are damaged or something.

My Betty's attacked Port Moresby again, but didn't do much damage this time either. I'm hoping these aren't an example of wasted effort.

I captured the base later in the day but when this raid was flown it could have been characterized as wasted effort. Only 3 planes
couldn't have accomplished much.

This is about 4 days in a row that I've bombed the 22nd Indian Bde by air and I'm thinking it's about give out by now. Maybe I should
launch a DA and see what happens.

My Sonia losses on this raid over Manila are higher ( 1 out of 7 ) than I'd like and I'm thinking of moving the Sonia's to China because
they carry only 50Kg bombs and they can't do much I'm guessing.

I'm pretty sure I have more Nate's than showed up to do CAP work this morning. Maybe the rest of them are doing LRCAP over some
other city and weren't available for this raid. At any rate I need to boost the LRCAP numbers because these Allied planes just flew
right through my CAP like they weren't there almost.

I need to boost the AF dudes presence at Denpasar so that more Zero's are available for LRCAP because just one isn't going to get the
job done. I'm seeing 6 Zero's at Denpasar that were available but only one shows up for CAP work? Maybe the rest of them were
sitting on the runway alert pad ready to go and just didn't show up in time for the furball.

My CAP boys at Palembang are working out okie dokie. I would have loved to have shot down that third Allied plane however.

Another attack on my shipping that didn't do too much. Maybe because of my CAP.

This bombardment attack cost me as many casualties or more than the Allies suffered. Maybe I should just defend with the troops and
do the bombardment with just the guns. I think I tried that and the cost to the Allies was less than I desired. I'm thinking maybe I should
just keep on keeping on and see what happens.

It's looking like I'm going to have to concede Port Moresby. He's got more strength than I do and more troops will arrive shortly. D'oh.

This is only one of the several attacks that occured in China. I just don't do much reporting on China events because they aren't as
photogenic as those over the deep blue water.

The 1st Para didn't arrive at Dili until this morning and evidently all the attrition occured before then, even the enemy unit is gone.

So there I was, going through the list of repaired ships in port(s) and assigning them to TF's and giving them routes to take etc. and I ran
into this TF out east of Tarawa and thought it might be good to list the possible targets and where are the TF's I have that are near those
and so on. So I started making this cut and paste collage but it's not looking as good as I want so I quit. But this is how far I got when I
quit. The green/white leaders are the Allies and the red/white leaders are the Japs.

OPSEC requires that I attach it only.

I'm posting a lot of stuff in Jim's AAR that's OPSEC limited and that's probably a hassle for you readers and I probably could move to
my own AAR and just post it openly but I'm afraid Jim's AAR would suffer unduely and he's a new-ish player and this is his first AAR and
I'm trying to help it grow you see. Besides, when the OPSEC information gets stale I'll embed the pics and there won't be a problem. I
realize that for most of you, you'll already have seen it and you're on a subsequent page of the AAR and it won't help much but there
may be readers that happen upon this AAR weeks from now and haven't seen the pic yet. It'll help then. So I keep going.

So there I was moving my TF's and I came to TF 5 which is sitting in HK right now and I was wondering what kind of gyrations I'd have to
go through to enable some infantry to be able to be moved because there isn't any now. I was thinking that changing the HQ the unit
belonged to might enable it's embark-tatude greatly. I click on load troops and there isn't anything listed on the next panel so I need to
do something I'm pretty sure.

Anyway, I ran across this listing of a CD unit that's currently inactive and I'm wondering if that means there's going to be a replacement
unit spawn somewhere, probably HK, that will be the CD unit mentioned? Sometime in the near future? Enquiring minds want to know.

There doesn't appear to be a way to change the HQ of the ground unit sitting in HK. It looks like I can change the unit's commander
though which might come in handy later on but since I can't change the HQ I'm guessing he's confined to China or something. Also, I
seem to have found some units that can't be moved in China, "static" they say. I guess I'll leave those where they are for now. LOL.

It has come to my attention that Christmas Island IO is a good resource source, a source of resources. I need to make the investment to
capture that island to feed the maw of the home islands. Note to self: invade / capture Christmas Island IO soonest.

I'm shipping some AKE's to Subic Bay so as to rearm the BB and the BB's escorts when he does bombardment missions on Bataan. I've
finally found enough DMS ships to go on the bombardment mission with the surface combatants so as to avoid the mine field. I'm
hoping that the DMS will get them safely to within range to fire their main guns and then retire back to Subic Bay to re-arm. That way I
think maybe I can get the Allies to eventually retreat or maybe I can manage to move some LCU(s) into Bataan and capture the hex.
That way I might be able to get access to Manila and bombard it too eventually. Force a quick resolution to PI.
